In this video of little more than five minutes you will know our tips to use the tripod well in your next photographs.
The #tripod is one of those elements in our team that is not always given due attention: charging it for hours to not even use it can become quite uncomfortable, but it is also true that if we need your help and not we have it you can lose or ruin a photograph.
It can be quite tempting when viewing a scene to open the tripod legs, level the tripod, and immediately mount the camera, without exploring the potential of the camera or seeking a creative approach.
The choice of the tripod placement point should not be the first thing in the workflow, it should be the final phase in the creative process.
When seeing a scene, or a subject, in which visual potential is discovered, we should leave the tripod aside, and with the camera in hand, start walking and explore the best point of view, preview the result that could be expected with different lenses and apertures. Sometimes (much more often than it seems) walking a couple of steps offers completely different opportunities for even more powerful images.
After this discovery / analysis process, we will set up our system trying to make what is seen through the camera's viewfinder is the closest to our ideal image.
In this video we will learn about two ball head options, what you can achieve with an L-plate and the importance of the remote shutter to avoid transmitting vibrations to the system.
