Great feature. Also great that it is as simple as typing the bpm value into the name of the scene! Is there a similarly simple way of setting different *meters* for individual scenes? Or can that only be done on the timeline in the arrangement view?
@ErrantErrika

Yes, you can set meter per scene the same way you'd set tempo. Simply put the time signature in the scene name as you would the BPM, for example: 120BPM 3/4 (no need to add a colon between tempo and meter)

This (the one in the session view) is not tempo automation at all. This is scene launching different tempos. The way to do that is to use AOC Driver on mac, or use an external midi transmitter within Windows. You have to create a midi clip and have it sending midi messages to the AOC driver. Set the AOC driver as a midi device on Live, and then map it to tempo. Then, you can write automation on tempo in session view.

It think I understand what you're getting at...When you change in Arrangement view (Scene-based) it changes the global tempo. If you want to "land" it back to the previous tempo you'll need to add a scene that manually "resets' the global tempo value to the one you want. If you don't, EVERYTHING afterward will continue to play at new tempo
