I want to thank you for the tip on this curriculum from your previous video. I purchased vol 2 as a supplement and it’s been a huge hit with my 5th grader. I was shocked she liked it so much. I did one lesson with her and she grabbed it from me and began to work through the lessons on her own. She is a good reader and the conversational style lessons worked so well for her. Simple and great so far 👍🏻. Thank you thank you 🙏🏼💗

My son has responded so well to Learn Math Fast. He just finished Algebra 1 and will be using their High School Geometry next year.

I've been using this with a 4th grader. I bought the first 4 volumes. We will use the second and possibly 3rd volume as a supplement next year to saxon math. It has helped improve basic skills tremendously.

I am an adult using the program. I have dyscalculia and graduated from high school in 1991. I had IEP in place and was receiving special education services. Until I graduated from high school. I am making slow progress. It is not the only thing that I am using. I added other things to supplement with. You are exactly right using it as supplement does help improve basic skills.

Do you still do a morning basket time with your kiddos now that they are older? Would love to see a video of that if you do.

Have you considered math-u-see? Its very similar but a slower progression but also easy to speed up and move on if they are ready. Could work well for your first grader. If your older kids reach a point where learn math fast is moving too fast at some point.

Thank you so much for sharing this flip through! I've been contemplating this program ever since you first shared about it. I was wondering specifically about if my two would feel "stuck" at a certain point. We've had that happen with Life of Fred- getting to a point where they're not ready to move on, but they've mastered the previous concepts, so what to do in the meantime?

I am seriously debating doing this with my daughter who hates math. We are struggling so hard through Saxon 8/7 and she's going into 9th grade. Is your 8th grader just doing 1 lesson/day?
@IntentionalHomeschooling

Yes, just one lesson a day. And I've told her that if she is struggling with a lesson it can extend over multiple days if we need so she doesn't stress about it.

@@IntentionalHomeschooling I need to figure out how to be this relaxed. I was planning out Saxon and I was losing my mind a bit about how long it was going to take to get to 9th grade math equivalent. I'm not sure how Alberta is about homeschooling highschool but I'm trying to "match" Ontario curriculum and finding it so hard with a struggling student.

We have found that starting this system in middle school works well. I agree on the not sure how it would for younger kids, the books progress quickly and you would definitely be at a halt by book 3 with younger kids. Overall though, we have had success with these books and I really appreciate her teaching style.

I am using the program as an adult. But I have 11 year old niece and 7 year old. They are in public school. This is not consistent with what they are learning in school. It doesn’t cover all grade level skills. So I wouldn’t use it even as supplement.

How do you think it works for leaning multiplication? My son is struggling with tgtb math for multiplication

It doesn’t teach all of them. Only memorize the ones that are necessary. Tricks for the rest. I use this program for myself. I am an adult. I realized I didn’t know all my times tables. It bothered me so I used free online drills. Few cheap workbooks. Within 3 weeks I had them memorized. If your son would find memorizing them all boring. You can just use the method in the book. Nothing wrong with letting him use multiplication chart either. I do really like the program and it definitely has improved. My math skills.

You can still improve. I am using the program. I am an adult with dyscalculia. Just because you had trouble in school. Doesn’t mean you can’t improve now. Best $25 I spent.
