I think that here's the solution to the 'adjust macro parameters per pad'-issue: In the beginning of the vid he says 'in this case the actual sounds of the drum rack are housed inside what is called an instrument rack.' Each pad is an instrument rack, which holds a simpler. In our problem case the pad just holds a simpler, without the rack en thus without it's macros. I couldn't find a kit that's configured that way, so I created one and it works: - create a drum rack - in the first pad, create an instrument rack - in that instrument rack, create a simpler - map your favourite parameters of the simpler on the macro's of the instrument rack (not the drum rack!) - Copy this instrument rack to the other 15 or whatever pads - insert your samples into the simplers et voila. when pressing a pad, it will show the macro's of each individual instrument rack, not the drum rack. they just happen to be the same macros for each instrument rack. some kits would be configured this way, but only a few apparently. and that's what's going on in the video. he should have probably elaborated on that.. chreerz

Seems like all kits work similar to the second way he explained i.e. to access these params you have to click on the pad you want then click simpler. By default it will show the main params, to change the param type click simpler again, you'll then see param types listed along the bottom of the display (main, global, envelopes etc.) these are selected per pad so you unfortunately can't just skip between pads with the focus on envelopes for example, you have to select the focus for each pad separately. Hope that's what you were looking for :)

Is it possible to automate a parameter on a specific step when using a drum rack ? It's shown in the beginning in the melodic sequencer for bass/piano like instruments but not for the drum rack. And if I try the same thing for the drum rack, that is "holding the step where I want to automate the parameter" then the automation is recorded like a "normal" one, (over time not only for the specific step)

@@AkshayDidIt this video is kinda outdated because they changed the core drum kits presets. now they have the global macros in the default rack group instead of what they show in this vid. To solve this I just created my own 808s and 909s kits and mapped the macros the way I wanted.

It is not clear, do the nob tweaking apply to one sample, or to all the drumloop. When I try to perform the first part, it doesn't matter which pad I choose, the nob parameters apply to all the loop. It would be great to be able to adjust the parameters of a particular pad. How can I do that?

New push user here. I loaded a drum kit and was having fun tweaking the parameters on my kick drum until I realized my changes had effected all the pads in my kit. @@Dr9000 No great ones bro. Seems as if you have to manually add the device/effect onto the pad instead of using the included ones which is kind of frustrating as it would be nice to use the included kit's effects per pad instead of just globally. I did however notice you can alter parameters via automation by holding down the recorded note in the sequencer however this would be tedious when trying to apply an effects to all instances of that pad. I'm hoping I'm missing something and this is not a design oversight. Let me know if you figure it out lol

This video is missing the step by step instructions on how to load a drum rack into an instrument rack / simpler and then play the entire drum rack in the sequencer as he does at the beginning of the video. All he does is describe how it works, which is of no help!
