A few things that can be applied to improve this trick. Instead of set up, don't set up anything and let your spectators shuffle for as much as they want. Then take out the 6,7,8,9. This way it feel like is more natural taking cards out from the deck while saying something like "We only care about value but we don't something too low or too big". Because if just taking the top 4 cards, alot might conclude "Oh it's pre setup, we didn't get to shuffle". While looking for the 6,7,8,9, you also simultaneously get a 9 and 8 to the bottom of deck, so while the spectator is checking the 4 cards, you flip the 9 over while they attention are somewhere else. Then proceed as usual, the rest of the trick you can do the same as shown in the video or use technique that's more fitting to your skill.

Ever considered teaching? Your way of showing and explaining is so clear. It is essentially multiple outs, but in a clever way

I love this trick. So far I've done it on all my family... but why won't somebody pick the 9? It's really annoying as I love that finish when you see one card face up in the pack! So far most people have picked the 6! I've tried switching the colours around but nope! Nobody has chosen a 9 yet! 😆

With 4 cards people will catch pretty quickly that they are of very specific numerical values. It's the 1st thing I thought when I saw the performance. There is no justification for bringing out these cards, whether you do it at the front like in the performance or during the routine like someone else suggested in the comments. These cards come out strictly to make the math work. It's contrived. I am also not sure that performing a Marlo tilt under a pinky break would qualify as self-working...
