Finally! That's what I was waiting for. Learning how to fly from one of the bests´with the simulator I use. Many many thanks. Now I know how to spend my time during the Berlin Winter.

These are great! Thanks! I totally would have given up if I just tried to go through Liftoff's tutorials. One thing I've discovered that hasn't been mentioned so far is that you can hit 'V' instead of 'B' to fly third person instead of line of sight. This lets you see how the drone reacts when your POV is moving along right behind it. I'm gonna go donate to the Patreon now.

this is the best lesson, i have a reason to say so: im an old rc airplane flyer. and on fast airplanes the roll (ailerons)dont have the effect like roll on a quad, we use rudder and pitch to manipulate preciese flying, so i learned my self a bad habbit in quad flying. you learned me something today, euhm you do that often.THX

If I could just yaw through gaps like that in real life I would be SO content! lol You make that barn look so easy which I know it is if you been flying for awhile. That barn in my enemy at the moment lol

Any advice on just flying slow? I always feel like I am flying too fast for example at least in the simulator. Like what you were showing us with the barn just hanging out and then slowly flying into it and through it...I am always coming in way too fast/hot and seem to have a hard time being slow.

Level the quad, coast to a stop, reduce throttle a little. Landing where you want just takes practise so you coast to a stop at the right spot. You can use lean in the opposite way to the direction of travel to come to a stop quicker but it's very easy to overshoot and start back in the opposite direction. It's just practice.

try putting the cam down, instead of 25° or whatever experienced pilots fly, then landing is totally easy. use a tree or something vertical for orientation.

Great advice from the others. Practicing flying really, really slow and hovering also helps. When flying IRL you do that and slowly bleed off throttle until you are close to the ground. Just before you hit ground you disarm and let the quad fall the last tiny bit. Practice over grass where you can disarm from a feet or two without risking any damage, then try to disarm when lower and lower.

I guess coordinated turns would be more for pure turns i.e. changing direction and just inputing roll for course correction, still in the same direction?

hello sir I am watching your videos from the beginning and its really awesome but still am not sure how you control the motion that you make pretty slow sometimes ?

You should rewatch the earlier episodes in the series then, they cover how to speed up and slow down.

This video series has really improved my flying! I have tried the same lessons outdoors with my micro drone and it has gone great! My crashes per flight ratio has improved dramatically. Here's a video : kzitem.info/news/bejne/o6ikr4ywhoR_l5g
