Hearing, "Everyone says WWE is fake, but this stuff is hard ... this stuff is real" is all we ask. We'll forgive and can laugh about all the other crazy aspects of it, but the physicality is truly a performance and challenge of strength.
also Corrine; your laugh is SOOOOOO CONTAGIOUS. if i'm having a truly bad day or feeling super depressed.... coming across one of your shorts or gracies or that other girl (sry i don't remember her name, just recently found her channel) anyway it makes me cheer up -- so thank you to you guys. i appreciate it so much. to see people have so MUCH fun and be SO talented and athletic... i miss being able to do whatever i wanted when i was younger but sadly, things have happened in life that have damaged both my mind and body and its truly miserable... i am LUCKY to still be able to walk and use both arms/hands, but idk for how much longer. then when it comes to hearing i am essentially deaf in one ear but i can somehow "hear" certain voices better than others (perhaps it has to do with a frequency thing?) and then when it comes to vision... it's not the best at all.

@@xtravagentk1275 it's fake fighting, literally. No one is saying there's no actual people in the ring, that'd be silly. They're saying those noises are not punching noises, they're floor stomping noises. An act. Fake. Like a magician, who is a real person in stage but not actually magical. Dudes sometimes mess up and get hit for real and end up bloodied when any of those hits actually half-connect. Most would be lethal if it was real.

So I think the move is called a Shiranui or Sliced Bread (you see this a lot with wrestling move names) BUT, a classic Shiranui/Sliced Bread happens in the corner and the attacker can run up the ropes before flipping over the defender. I think this variant is a running Shiranui that the attacker uses their running momentum and the defender's cooperation to perform the flip.
@jkausti6737
5 ай бұрын
Yeap, a Sliced Bread #2 from a running start. They could try the version where you use the ring corner (basically anything solid you can take a few steps up), it should be much easier (and safer). Also shows just how much the wrestlers depend on each other to do many of the moves.
@wilfred_ho
4 ай бұрын
This run-up Shiranui is called the Destino; it's currently a finisher in Japan, but it's neat when WWE wrestlers can introduce these moves to a wider audience.
@jkausti6737
4 ай бұрын
@@wilfred_ho At least Naito does his Destino a bit differently. It's not from a head lock but uses opponents arm in the beginning, and it ends on Naito on his back and not on his knees like usually in a sliced bread. Very similar moves though, so I'm nitpicking here.

Pretty sure that was the "Shiranui/Sliced Bread" - which was performed by Ricochet, invented by Naomichi Marufuji and renamed by Brian Kendrick. Also, props for even getting partway there. Ricochet's an absolute freak of a human being, able to do some impossible stuff in the ring literally every single time he gets in a ring (the man is capable of performing a double rotation moonsault (backflip) and a 630 senton (a splash, but on your back). Just a week or two ago the man jumped to the top rope, bounces off the top rope and did a 450 splash to a table about six feet away. There's absolutely zero shame in not being able to get that down in a limited period of time. Especially because the Sliced Bread is usually performed with the assistance of the turnbuckle, where you have the ability to run up them and push off for the backflip. Or in other words, you chose hard mode. 😂😂 Crazy impressive though - you got really close to nailing it at one point and like you said, this stuff isn't easy. And I have zero idea if you're looking for content/moves to try but as soon as I heard you liked the flippy ones, I thought of: watch?v=jNga4PPq9bM The Spiral Tap (which is described as a corkscrew senton bomb), performed by A.J. Styles. Anyways, subbed to both your channels. Crazy to watch you get as close as you did in what looks like a relatively short period of time.

So, in Japan this would be called a running/standing Shiranui. In North America it would probably be called a running/standing Sliced Bread/Sliced Bread 2.0. The move is normally not done from a standing or running position in the middle of the ring like Ricochet does but instead in the corner and running up the turnbuckle for extra leverage for the flip. In WWE, the name Sliced Bread was used for it by a wrestler named Brian Kendrick, who popularized the move over here for the more modern WWE audience.

Ah you see the problem here is, Ricochet has this deal with Gravity where it only tends to be about 50% effective on him, allowing him to do insane things. Also the move is "Sliced Bread" you may want to try "Slice Bread number 2" which uses the ring buckles to aid the flip, once you get that down, it should make doing the unassisted version easier.
