The half life of Ozempic is 7 days and it builds up so that after you stop taking it, it takes 5 weeks to be completely out of your system. Amberlynn thinks it starts to wear off after 3 days. She is just too much.
@Amtoro
2 жыл бұрын
While I don't take the drug myself, everything I see on Ozempic implies that it's just as Zach figured - it builds up in your system and you maintain a level of it with the weekly doses - it doesn't run low by day 5 and you're waiting for the next shot to restart the process. I think there's a high likelihood that by telling herself "I'm not feeling it, it's not working" Amberlynn is setting herself up for failure; we've all seen just how much willpower and strength she has. She has to do this herself and just use the Ozempic as a helpful tool - it can't carry her across the finish line by itself.

Okay this is going to be one of those VERY very very rare times where I'm going to /kind of/ defend Amberlynn with all the Lean Cuisine and convenience foods. Stuff like that can actually be REALLY beneficial for people who struggle with binge eating because food is always a completely overwhelming topic, whether we realize it or not, so having healthier-ish comfort foods on hand can be helpful for preventing a full-on binge. I personally keep ramen cups on hand to put a scoop each of collagen and powdered greens into to make it more "worth" the calories. That being said: the problem with HER doing this is that I can almost guarantee she is going to eat literally all of that within just a couple of days instead of having one here and there to help prevent a binge.

So what amber is doing is called “the cash envelop system” very popular in the planner community as a way to eat away at your debt. What you’re SUPPOSE to do is only buy things that you can afford with cash, and to creating sinking funds. Say you’re trying to save up to marry your GF that you met less than a year ago on IG you’d create a wedding envelope and put a set amount of cash into it monthly until you reach your goal. Amber most likely will not grasp the concept. Also the irony of spending money on a system to save money 😂

Zach the budget binders are for saving basically for people who have trouble saving for their bills. Mainly low income households. It's like she's heard of the "3 envelope method" and thought she could make it better by giving it conventional spreadsheet budgeting categories and thus eliminate all the benefits it had and gave it issues it never had

About the budgeting - my oldest brother actually did something similar with his (at the time) wife, they would pull money out of their bank account and then divide it into separate labelled envelopes. To my knowledge, they kept their money for bills in their bank account but other than that they would have it set aside (this is actually also how they made sure they saved up enough for their wedding!) They showed me in hopes of helping me learn what to do when I eventually got a job. It can work for those who end up accidentally spending too much when all of their money is in their bank account (numbers on the screen don't always equate to "Oh yeah, this is actually real money I'm spending" at least not for me... :x Maybe I'm just bad with money who knows) because usually having the money set aside somewhere safe, not in your wallet, keeps you from...you know, spending it willy nilly. Also, ALR saying she used her bank to budget...yeah she could have just meant all of her moneys in the account but I know my bank has a little widget on the website to help with budgeting - I had to use it extra hard when I only made $9,000/yr to $12,000/yr and had to raise a kid - thankfully I've moved up slightly though still under $20,000.

What she's doing is also my budgeting system and it works really well. I get out like $200 for groceries, $50 for fun, $20 for miscellaneous and I just don't spend any more than that a month. Seeing it in cash makes me plan ahead. And it's fun to save over the months for an upcoming fun thing :)

Looks like AL wants to do the cash envelope budgeting system... which is pretty reliant on people going OUT and buying things with cash to keep themselves within budget. You also know that she doesn't have a safe to hold that binder full of cash (which all the cash envelope people on youtube do). Luckily, she's way too lazy and dependent on just buying things online to actually do cash stuffing, so she most likely has already quit that whole thing by now. Just idiotic.

Hi Zac! I'm from Spain, and I was honestly shocked when I saw that "rotisserie chicken" in a literal plastic bag rolling like a rugby ball... how can she see that and think "that might be good to eat"? I mean, I've never seen anything like that... here if you want rotisserie chicken, you have to either go to an actual rotisserie, or do it yourself at home with actual raw chicken (which I think might be much healthier than that???) but that looks like a toy or a plush for Twinkie! lol I always get impressed by what USA has in their stores.

There are other medications that do the same as ozempic if you are type 2. If your blood sugar is all wacky - you aren't eating a consistent diet. (And if way too high - heading towards diabetes) If you are not type 2, the food you are choosing is causing the problem. (The insurance company probably saw your blood sugar was normal and said you didn't need it without acknowledging it was the drug stabilising your blood sugar - this should be illegal. It is like saying "your blood pressure is normal, you don't need your medication anymore or your seizures have stopped for a year we can take you off the medications ") But I am also of the opinion that if you do not have diabetes - you should not be using medicine that treats diabetes. We do not know the long term side effects of these medicines - maybe if you don't have diabetes and still eat poorly you will end up diabetic sooner because of the safety blanket like ozempic.

i feel like the only way this budgeting system works is if you work somewhere that gives tips. like if you don’t have cash on you, there’s no reason to use this budgeting system because you’d just be pulling money out of the bank to put in a book, just for that money to go back in the bank to pay bills.
