Hint: After the upright straight line with dimension 57.5mm - to properly make an arc of 20 mm Radius. Use a key command. Simply press keyboard 'a' to put the line command into arc command mode. Move the cursor and arc right to the end of the line segment where it terminates and click the mouse. The arc is made without a lot of commands for straight lines, fillet, and Trims. Now end the feature with a straight line down to the object. For the next extrusion - drag the extrusion to the end of the part and hover the mouse over the corner of the part until you see the stick and ball icon showing you are at the point. Click. The extrusion is now at the correct spot and dimension. Without extra work and typing. Dr! It is very confusing and frustrating to a student attempting to follow your instruction when you, without notifying the student, begin to customize the part - wildly deviating from the original design reference drawing. Example: - The round fillet at the base of the screw is to be "5 mm" per your drawing. Not 4.5 mm. - The thread extent from drawing is 51 mm and not your change to 70 mm. Also, ? How did you determine the M16 x 1.5 thread ? In the original drawing the threads are clearly trapezoidal and the function of the part looks to be a bench vise jaw. Why did you select the wrong threads to copy a drawing and not follow the design purpose? Upon my review it looks to be more closely a trapezoidal TR 16 X 2 thread. Your tutorials and presentations are very misleading and confusing.

I am learning many 'wrong' things to do for inaccurate drawings. But, not able to learn on my own to correct 'all' your mistakes. Note: The dimensions noted as inches unless otherwise specified in the Title Block. Sigh... Note 2: The New Draft Page - ANSI Metric page with selecting size B will have the correct Title Block note, you won't have to change the dimensioning from 'inch' to 'mm' and the sheet will be Standard Draft Page Size of B for printing. All your drawing need to be corrected/updated, Dr.

10:37 here i think there was a mis-reading. Indeed you told 70 but the draft says 51, and the pitch you chose for 1.5 but the draft says 1 and it has a more flat taper angle rather than slanted to 2.50°. It is ISO Metric Trapezoidal.

High did you know there is a way to get the dimensions on the same line? just place the first one where you want it, and the adjacent one, drag it shortly over the first one and then move it to its desired pace it seems locked to the first dimension kind regards Hans

Thank you for your feedback. After posting lab 14, I will start the dimensional Detailing tutorial, which will include all the details on the draft sheet.
