Don’t forget that weekends count against your leave balance when you go on leave

This might sound like a dumb question but what type of transportation do you use if you want to go somewhere on liberty? Can you transport your car to your duty station or something like that and how does it work for a single Marine who lives in barracks?

Is it true that no marine can leave base unless he is with another marine? Does that also apply to taking leave and driving somewhere off base?

When you're deployed let's say to Nigeria and you want to come back before your contract, do you have to pay for leave form or would the military pay for your leave?
@nathanmiller3987

Why would you ever leave a deployment early and leave your guys besides a death of a loved one……? If that’s a concern you should not become a Marine….

Asvab score 74, ACT/SAT score is like 20 (ACT) and 1000 (SAT), perfect or near perfect PFT/CFT score, must be at least Corporal, and last but not least be an amazing Marine. I’m also trying to do that too but first gotta go through and pass bootcamp.

I got MEPs next week and I want my MOS to be Electrician, I already told my recruiter that’s what I want (MOS 1141) I know I need a high ASVAB score, I just want your advice if you think I’ll get that job or if they throw where ever they need me, I’m stressing on this, i don’t want spend my 4 years doing MOS that I don’t want or that won’t benefit me.

Check out that link, there are few contracts that will give you a specific job in the USMC but im afraid electrician isn't one of them, there is a process of enlisting reserve and getting that MOS guaranteed and then you can switch active. If that doesn't interest you, you will most likely have better luck in the Army. Hope this helps.
