Ingredients,
1 ½ cup Semolina.
¾ cup Sugar.
3/4 cup Plain Yogurt.
½ cup Shredded Coconut.
¼ cup Canola Oil {or any Oil you like}.
1 tsp. Baking Powder.
1 tsp. Vanilla {optional}.
Almonds whole or split in half for garnishing.
Method,
In a Bowl mix dry ingredients then add all other ingredients and mix well.
In a 10” skillet or Dutch Oven, spread the dough evenly cut them about 2” in diamond shape or square decorate each piece with Almond. Bake for 30 to 45 min. depending on your oven to brown to top.
Syrup,
1 ½ cup Sugar.
3/4 cup Water.
1 Tbs. Lemon Juice.
1 tsp. Rose Water {if you do not have it its OK}.
Put Sugar, Water & Lemon Juice in a Casserole or pot bring to boil lower heat let simmer for 5 to 6 min. mix occasionally add Rose Water mix and let simmer for 1 to 2 min. Pour Syrup evenly on Namoura let it sit to cool re cut the lines and serve.
Notes: For Backing pan is 10”x 14” or for Dutch oven 12”x or 14” double the recipe.
