Sites are showing around 350000 bitcoin transactions per day. Given 86400 seconds per day, it gives the rate of 4.05 TPS. How is it possible or if I am doing something wrong pls point out.

These numbers were computed prior to Segwit's full adoption; if you look at tradeblock.com/bitcoin/historical/1d-f-tsize_per_avg-01071 you can see that the average transaction size is now around 419 bytes / txn instead of 546 bytes / txn. Hence, we get 2^20 / (419 * 10*60) = 4.17 tps as a rough figure.
