Very helpful information, well done. If I can add something important, most older dimmers are NOT rated for LED lamps. So if your upgrading to LEDs, may need to also upgrade exisitng dimmers

Great videos. Thankyou. I’d go out of my way to buy from you guys, just because you go to the effort of making these videos. I hope other people, who benefit from them, would do the same..

Have you found any GU10 LED bulbs which throw light out through the base? My bulbs are in frosted glass shades and the halogen bulbs put out light within those to add brightness to the room. All the LED bulbs I've found only throw light forward, making the room darker, overall.

Look for bulbs that have the 60D indication (meaning the light bundle spreads over 60 degrees). Like: GU10 4.9W 927 60D

In the USA we only get 2700K, 3000K, and 5000K. The only time I have seen 4000K is with a fluorescent tube style LED.

Is it an option to replace E27 reflector bulb (R63) with GU10 bulb (using an E27 to GU10 base adapter)? The E27 reflector bulbs seem rear and cost more by the looks of it. Anyone knows?
