Thanks Jason. This is exactly what I needed. Pulling the wires up thru the cable boot and using wire loom was a great idea. Now I know how to remove the cover on the aft starboard deck and to remove the dash panel. I would not have thought about drilling next to the driver’s seat. Igot this now! I’m using LED strip lights which will be much cheaper than the nice lights you used. I had no idea how much time it would take to create rectangular light strips around each storage box. Removing the silicone off all the ends of the LED strips to attach the 90 degree connectors was a pain.

J t Yeah it’s very time consuming, but when it’s done it will be worth it. Glad to hear it helped

J t I’m not really sure what to tell you about that cable cover, all the ones I’ve seen have been screwed down to the deck. I guess rivers are possible, but they usually keep that stuff to be easily removed. Without me seeing it, I think you’re gonna have to take a second look at it and maybe keep digging. Some of those screws get recessed in the carpet pretty good. I know when I took my bow cover off up front by the trolling motor to mount my sonar, I had a hell of a time finding this screws. Completely buried in the carpet. Good luck, keep pressing on, you’ll get it.

Jason, another question. I was able to run all my wires using an elecrician’s fiberglass glow rod from HF. The PO had pried the rear of the console away and left a gap that the glow rod would fit thru to pull wires from there also. However, I have been totally unable to locate the screws that hold down the cable cover that runs from behind the driver’s seat to the back of the deck. I’m starting to think that it may be riveted on my 2017 model 175 but I cannot locate any rivets either despite lots of poking and picking thru the carpet. Do you have any advice on how to locate the screws/rivets? I need to remove that panel/cover to repair the gap in the console. I see a screw under the end of the console that may be all I need to access to adjust the gap. Your video was a big help!
