My dads favorite song and one of his favorite versions. My dad died this past October and I played this song when we were able to see him at the hospital when he passed. I also played this song when we cremated him. He wanted Led Zeppelin to be playing the entire time they burned him along with his weed. I wanna Thank You dad for all the memories and all the great times we had even though i only knew you for a third of your life. He was the ultimate Led Zeppelin fan seeing them 15 times and meeting all the members. RIP I miss you every day.

@@renatelendle8637. The only thing better than this version would have been watching the 4 members of Led Zeppelin playing it live before Bonham passed away. This is the greatest most poetic love song of all time, it kind of reminds me of Stand by me by Ben E. King but this one is even deeper in poetry. The only downside for me with this version is that I listened so much to Zeppelin back in the 80s that I can clearly tell the difference between Bonham and the guy playing the drums here, Bonham was the smoothest drummer ever so much I could listen to Zeppelin and relax enough to fall asleep listening to the smooth sounds of the drums.

I actually saw Led Zeppelin when I was 14-years-old. It was my first concert & I got to see back-to-back shows. I still have the ticket stubs. I can remember those concerts. I have forgotten many concerts I saw when I was 25-years-old. That's how special it was to see Led Zeppelin.

Same! I remember buying their box set in the early 90s for my close friend, and this was always his favorite Zeppelin song, and they were always his favorite band. Zeppelin on the radio in the car with my parents on the way to my grandparents for dinner. So many memories that the band is unknowingly a huge part of ❤❤

😢 every time! I grew up with my soul mate, at age 15 we were separated when he moved to Florida with his mom. 45 years later we were married, but only for 1 year! We had both changed so much and even though I loved him with every fiber of my being it just wasn't going to work! I love him still and my heart aches for him like never before, but like he said we were chasing a dream and a love from 45 years ago😢 so for now my heartaches but in my mind I live that 45 year old love that I WILL NEVER be able to let go of! Look at the personnel: Boney - still the greatest drummer of all time by a wide margin; Jimmy Page - arguably the greatest rock guitarist; Robert Plant’s tenor voice was other-worldly and powerful; and John Paul Jones is a masterful multi-instrumentalist. The chemistry was magical, the song-writing was world class, containing passion and a good deal of beauty; to see them perform was to experience manifest majesty. We were blessed to have them.

Played at my first wifes funeral after giving her eulogy. I was 25, she was 22, we had a 4 month old, 15 month old, and a 3 year old. Im glad the asshole she was with died too. Just felt like venting, havnt talked about it in years. No sympathy desired. God is good. It has been 13 years now. I spent 5 years alone then met a wonderful woman i married and had three more kids with. Thank you Lord!
