After never counting calories when I started. I then went on a clean diet and started at 1800 calories (i knew it would be to low) so I added 200 each week. till I stop loosing weight. that was at 2600. I then set on that for four more weeks and stayed the same. now I go over to bulk or under to cut. this was training three to four days a week lifting no cardio and no job at the time. so walk to gym train then home and chill.

If your a gym nut of course you cannot follow a low carb diet, However for most people with average exercise a low carb diet is very good for you because you are not burning them off like this bloke, And it goes without saying he feels like shit without his carbs because it will effect his power in the gym, you would need to go into ketosis and after a month of high fat low carbs then go back to the gym and see how you perform.

If you're pretty chunky, low carb will help you pour the fat off. If you're reasonably fit and training hard, some carb in the morning is needed for high output activity. If you're fat, or really shredding down, low carb will help while you do some walking or bicycle peddling. It really depends on what you're doing and how fit you are.

So refreshing to hear this. I've seen so many bodybuilders eating diets with less than 100g of fat and I'm low how the fuck are you still alive. Even seen some guys less than 50g because all they eat is tilapia. On then on the other spectrum I see guys doing stuff like keto diets. I've done keto before and I felt exhausted. I will say people that have sedentary jobs and don't train much or just do light stuff low carb can be good but if you are constantly pushing yourself and/or have a labor job carbs are essential but it's never good to do extremely low fat. I eat steak, eggs, and everything, rice, fruit. More like a high protein, medium carbs, medium fat diet is best. Protein for me is usually in the 350-400g range and carbs and fat usually in the 200-250g range.

Ive always said people go way overboard with the whole calorie counting shit. If you're at competetive bodybuilder level then it's obviously a useful tool, but for the average guy looking to get abs, just look in the mirror, see if you're getting the results you want, and adjust how much you're eating based on that. Dont need to know the number, just need to know whether you need a bit more or a bit less.
@MrBrotmafia
9 жыл бұрын
John Smith however without counting most people have no idea how much they eat and what is more or less. Yesterday I ate different food compared to today, food with different caloric density so how can I possibly know if I ate more or less in terms of calories? I see so many people just stagnating at their weight thinking they eat much or not much at all when in reality they have no idea how much they really eat
@JohnSmith-yx8kf
9 жыл бұрын
MrBrotmafia Yeah i can see your point, but i think it just comes with experience. I just dont think you need that much accuracy on a day-to-day basis - as long as you're eating correctly to keep gradually moving towards your goals, i really dont see a reason to worry about having 200 extra calories one day and 200 less the next. If you're trying to gain muscle and dont put on any weight after 2-3 weeks, then obviously you need to up the calories slightly, but i think that's something that you should be able to do just by estimating once you've got a bit of experience with proper eating. Bit different if you're doing IIFYM or something though i guess. I'm not interested in that for various reasons, but if it works for you that's cool. From what i can tell though, that would mean you have to be more accurate with your calories on a day-to-day basis, so what im saying doesnt really apply.

This is exactly what I've been saying in his other diet videos He plays it down all the time like he eyeballs roughly what he eats dosent change the amounts just eats clean and cardio ,saying macros are fuck all and straightaway here he knows exactly how many grams of carbs he's eating He acts all blase because he makes it come across like it's easy and yeah just do this and blah blah blah you'll end up ripped As I suspected in other vids he knows exactly what he's eating and adjusts it very scientifically NOBODY. Ever got into even half the shape he gets into by roughly cleaning up the diet and adding some cardio

hi.... i follow pretty much how Lee say... to keep it simple, i.m from Romania and as all u guys know here we dont have to much money to "fit our macros" with all that sofisticated foods... but as i learned from Lee with basic food cheap basic training and cardio , i put 14kg in 2 years on me... drugs o took only 2 months long like 150test e /w and 100tren e/w. i apreciate that Lee is taking so much time and also to be that honest . so we young upcoming "bodybuilders" we can learn something from hes experience. wish u all the best and much health for u guy. thanx
