Lee Ritenour is a badass hero. That crazy story of a 24-year-old Ritenour switching his easy-to-play part with young (and panicking) Steve Lukather's intricate sheet during the latter's first recording session made me feel immense respect for Ritenour. His knowledge is HUGE, I think he even was a tutor for Emily Remler...

Except Lee's best work was in the 70s, before he lost his testosterone and went soft with Smooth Jazz.

hahahaha, mesa-boogie amplifier goes up to 11! That's some Spinal Tap refference there! hahahaha! 🤣😂

To hear only ‘Lee Ritenour’s voice without the Japanese translator speaking set the position of your ‘balance’ control knob to pan ‘far right’. ..EnJoy...

Is there a version of this that you (or anyone) could put on KZitem without the Japanese translator speaking on top of what Lee is saying? It’s hard to hear what Lee is saying.

Can someone please tell me the name of the song he plays in the intro? I haven't been able to find it on any of his albums so far.
