@@PhantomSinging_channel I guess growls are like whistles in that they can't be supported I think technique and style can coexist. I tend to prefer technique because my natural ability is pretty limited. I have around C#2/D2-E4 of chest range, so can't try to be too stylistic. Ps: F4-A4 is a very heady mess lmao
@PhantomSinging_channel

@@soloquieroveryoutubeparaqu5384 I wouldn't compare whistles with growls for too many reasons. 1- whistle is a vocal register not a vocal effect like the growl. 2- whistle cannot be supported because the vocal cords are not touching, while growl is produced by adding a certain kind of throatiness. (throatiness= tension = strain). 3- a growl can be produced unhealthily, example: Xtina. and can be produced more healthily like Beyonce.

What does supported even mean? I’m not fucking sure about that term. And what’s the difference between supported and resonance
@PhantomSinging_channel
5 жыл бұрын
Support is the act of engaging the diaphragm to control the air flow that passes through a relaxed neutral larynx and connected vocal cords, and then the sound amplifies in the resonator to create the sound. In order to resonante no tension should be evident. With a very open and rounded sound, and without nasality. *I'll do a video explaining ALL this in much more details.
