Let's also see more Skate Parks in Leeds. A large skate bowl in the centre of Leeds will lead to less street skating and really help make Leeds more attractive too.

Be nice if LCC would spend money on housing and help for the homeless.

If Leeds City Council build a house the tenants that occupy it will be eligible to buy it after only three years with a 35% discount on the cost of the house. As the council will have had to borrow money to build that house, the amount they would receive back would be less than they paid to build the property in the first place. So the people of Leeds would be losing money. In addition the council do not receive the full amount that paid for the house, but rather a sizable proportion of the money received is claimed by central government. So the people of Leeds would have to continue to pay for a loan with nothing to see for . It's not the responsibility of the council to subsidise the private housing market. Change the rules on right to buy and LCC along with many other councils just might see an incentive to build at the moment they have a disincentive to build. Either scrap right to buy or say make it that you have to occupy the property for 15 to 20 years before you get that right to buy or until the council have cleared the loan, whichever is the sooner. also scrap central governments right to any of the proceeds. I for one object to a Labour council spending money only for a portion of that money then getting funneled into Conservative councils in the South of England.
