Interesting (for this Yank, at least) to see that the Model A at 18:08 (dating from 1927-31 in an era decades before major highways here) still dwarfs the cars around it. I guess I didn't realize that U.S. cars "out-scaled" yours pretty much from the get-go and wasn't just a show of postwar exuberance. Thanks for sharing the video!

Big is beautiful! Having said that, I saw a BMW Mini Countryman towing a horsebox the other week . . . outrageous!

The Dolomite Sprint did NOT have twin camshafts. It did have 16 valves which is where the confusion may have set in. It was the first British production car to have a 16v engine. The Mini is a 1275GT but is the Clubman shape. I was hoping to make it but I had other commitments.

What is that peculiar wailing sound in the background? It's very strange, a bit like a cross between a whale song and a peacock. It keeps repeating, as though it's a weird mechanical noise.

There is a water treatment plant just behind the trees where the cars were parked, so you were correct in thinking it was something mechanical.
