I used to live in a community in northern Virginia, where people were highly educated, had high incomes and lived in million dollar houses. A gal was at the local store, and her car broke down. Nobody came to help her. If I had a set of jumper cables, I would’ve helped her. Retired to West Virginia. One day I was at a local store in my small country town and I saw a girl whose car broke down. She needed a jumpstart. At least six people pulled over within 15 minutes around her car all trying to help. She was on her way in 20 minutes. The people in West Virginia are all working class. The moral of the story is if you have trouble you better hope you’re in West Virginia and not amongst the highly educated, rich folks, who live in the big city. These working class hillbillies are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

I'm a retired working class American. I worked in construction and the biggest problem I had most of my adult life was competing against illegal migrants for bids on jobs! The DC elite of both parties kept passing the buck on illegal immigration, talking a lot, but never doing anything about it! So, when Donald Trump came along and made his whole campaign about securing our border, I was all for it! Even though it was too late to help me, it could help other legal Americans who were still having to compete against the illegals! The biggest problem with the DC elite is, they think they were elected to "rule over us," instead of serving us!

@88wildcat

The problem with that is that many of them are in positions in the government that you can not vote them out of. You don't vote people out of the IRS. You don't vote people out of the CIA. You don't vote people out of all of those government regulatory agencies and bureaus. Once they become a federal unionized employee they are harder to get rid of than bedbugs. (Which they are similar to in other ways as well.) All of those agencies and bureaus are aligned with each other and will strike back en masse against anyone that tries. You try to take jobs away from these people you will face the wrath of the IRS, the intelligence agencies, the DOJ, the EPA, the NRLB, the FTC, and every other acroynm in Washington or northern Virginia you can think of. The problem isn't in electing different politicians. The problem is the inability to shrink and reduce government size and power and the unwillingness to cross the bureaucracies that is necessary to do so. Everyone has their own skeletons in Washington D.C. Everyone else in that town knows those skeletons and no one wants those skeletons exposed and if someone somehow has made a career there without acquiring those skeletons they do not want to be Seth Riched or Boeing whistleblowered while going up against this system.

Megyn Kelly described the Liberal elites a lot, like how the elites we see in the movie "Hunger Games." The irony in that movie is the fact that nearly all of elites wore colorful hairstyles much the same way as the modern Liberals do. The only difference in that movie and reality is that most of the colored hair Liberals are mostly middle class while the rich snoody Liberals are the elites. All that the Hunger Games did was combine the two. Another ironic part of this whole thing is that the Hunger Games depicted the downfall of Socialism which the government of the Hunger Games were, they were Socialistic. The entire practice of the government in the Hunger Games was 100% Socialistic. Here's another ironic thing to think about. Most of the actors, such as Jennifer Lawrence, played in this movie depicting Liberals in a negative light and depicting Socialism in a negative light, but yet these very same Hollywood elites do exactly what the villains of that movie do. They snub their noses up at the working class as if they were deplorables. They also support Socialism which is a mirror image of the totalitarianism displayed by the government in the Hunger Games. There is a distinct parallel of the rich elites in the Hunger Games and modern day Liberals.

THIS IS TRUMP: Psalms 10:2-7 He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD. In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. His ways are always prosperous; your laws are rejected by him; he sneers at all his enemies.

Megyn, I don't believe you are that ignorant to have to ask exactly what the working class is. I also don't believe that you said since you came from a middle class background, you are not working class. The working class is anyone who has to put in at least 40 hours of work per week(white collar or blue collar) without executive privileges. I know construction crane operators that make $100k+ annually, which is considered middle class wages. Bottom line, all humans are separated by socioeconomic class... not by race, gender or background. I do agree that the left is blaming the so-called 'dumb, rural working man' for their own party's faults and lack of responsibility in their expected leadership.

Megyn Kelly is what a real feminist should be; she is a beautiful mother and family woman who defends what she believes is right and trashes what she thinks is wrong. I would have never thought she would have, one day, defended Donald Trump against those corrupt Democrats, and the latter is dead wrong not to acknowledge the great work she's been doing to help him. When I saw him taken a swap at her lately, I immediately thought that he is narcisstic individual who never forgives and forgets those who tried to embarass. I personally support Trump against the Democrats for what the latter are trying to do to him, but I don't personally like him. He better stops acting like a comedian and rather shows the Presidential side of his character. Wish'm all the luch though ...

agree. It started even with E Warren. When she lost, instead of encouraging young people to talk to the people like the guests did, she encouraged them to go to Africa to volunteer. How shocking, she did not even know that the American inexperienced volunteers were laughed at in those countries for being no help but doing stupid selfies with poor people. At the same time people outside their own door need to be helped and their own souls need to be saved.

Wait. Much of The Middle Class IS The Working Class these days. People in the trades are making the same as managers and lawyers now, because there's so much demand. People need to encourage their kids to choose a trade instead of wasting money on useless degrees that also waste time that can be used establishing themself. And PS: Degrees don't equal intelligence (or Common Sense).

So true! I worked as a tradesman all my life and always recommended that young people go to a trade school or apprentice as a tradesperson, instead of going to college. I never even finished high school (got a GED in the Marine Corps) but that didn't stop me from starting and running 3 successful businesses during my lifetime! I started my apprenticeship at age 11 under a framing contractor and the work ethic I learned from him stuck with me the rest of my life!

yeah except that her politics are different than Bri so they shouldn't replace each other. She was coming on as a frequent guest or host or guest host (it's all a blur now), and then it stopped. Just not sure why.@@kerrylewisRN

here in canada the average hard working person who just wants to provide for his family is being pushed out of the housing market and becoming lower class citizens. it is only the top percent of society that can afford to live the canadian dream. the average hard working family can barely live in an apartment let alone buy a house or give their children a chance to live a happy life. the dream of an average hard working life is over here in canada.
