I did surgery 10 weeks ago and it's been hell for me. I've been doing physiotherapy to get the muscles stronger but I have sharp pain in the ankle when I try walking. I wonder if ill ever be able to walk again without pain. How long post surgery were you able to walk freely and painless???

How long did it take for you to be able to walk again ? I’m going to have surgery and have screws put in on Tuesday on my right ankle but I just don’t want to be disabled for a long time.

@@sam_198 first the doctor said that in 6 weeks after my surgery I’d be able to walk, but I had a checkup around 2 weeks later and it turned into 8 weeks. I got my boot after 4 weeks of surger and it somehow hurt like HELL after wards but the next day I felt better. I started letting my foot down on the floor or put small amount of weight on it when walking with crutches around 6 weeks post surgery. At around 11 weeks I was walking without crutches, but with a limp, and at 12 weeks without a boot or crutches, but with a limp. Did you recently break your ankle?

@@sam_198 i progressively increased the load on my ankle as I started off with a bare touch on the flour. It took about 3 weeks. It was hard but just do your stretches routinely and go to physical therapy and you’ll improve drastically.
