Donna, I am making an “Almost a Lone Star” made entirely with Matt’s hand cuts. I will NEVER use jelly rolls with pinked edges again. Sewing with the Matt’s hand cuts was a dream, so easy to use. Just wanted to share that tidbit. I’ll share the top when it’s completed. Thanks again for sharing your time and talent, I’m going to make this runner into a quilt, I have so many left over jelly rolls.

Hi Donna... I am Noer (66) from Indonesia. I am in love with all of your quilting design, and of course the way you show the tutorial in details.. So so so much in love. I like sew since I was a little girl, and finally those hobby was beeing my way to live by running a small boutique for traditional/modern Kebaya and party gown. Nowadays, because of the pandemic, not much customers came. So I have much time for myself by watching your videos, and that was very interesting. I hope you don't mind when I plagiate/copy your designs.. Thank you so much Donna... Wish you all the best.. 😍🤩

I have been making quilts for 20+ years and I absolutely love watching your videos. You are a wonderful teacher. I learn something new every time I watch (angled backing). The tips you give and/or even when you don't sew something perfect and point it out (uneven stitch in the ditch) are also helpful for beginners. It encourages them and shows them that their quilts do not have to be perfect. Thank you very much. 🌹

Woke up this morning (Maine) with snow on the ground, got my cup of tea and surprise!! This is the first video that appeared as I opened my iPad! Seeing truly is here even tho it’s 24 degrees out with snow. Such an awesome treat. I especially loved seeing how this looks with different fabrics.......very helpful. I chuckled often while watching as I was reminded of a large Easter basket on our table filled with a riot of colored Easter eggs. The source of the eggs was our four boys. Yes, a riot of color. To all, enjoy your Easter and your families. 💝💘💝.

Hi Donna & thanks for the beautifully crafted table runner. Besides your style & clear explanation, I loved your fabric choice. I'm not fond of the tired browns, rusts, etc that you see in quilts. I like the color pop in this project. I bought a book today on color pairing which I lack skill, but luckily I can sew so with practice I'll be "half" square as good as you! LOL..Happy Holiday to You & Family.💌

As usual, a great tutorial. Love the repetition. You may not see it like so but it definite helps. Visual memories are tools. Seeing your fingers scramble over the cloth, the way you effortlessly use your nails to guide the reverse seam under the foot, the expertise of how you guide the cuts under the needle, the dancing of the joining the block pieces, the suave turn of the hand to reinforce the way the pinwheel 1/4 block is turning, all of this is reassuring. I do that, and that, that’s a new trick, have to take a note of that.... The way you use your pinning technique is equivalent to a sword Kung Fu master fighter. It is comforting to know that you can aspire to perfection paying attention to your tutorials. I miss a couple a shots of the binding techniques. Should include a couple of shots of those, like how to cut, join and apply stripped binding. A note on your choice of cut. When you start I think they're awful. But then, as the tutorial progresses I come to realize they were good choices after all. How I’ll be able to accomplish that, bogles my mind. Love the surprises you always pull of the finish projects. A shout out to “Spielberg’s” cam-man, unsung hero of the final edit. Congrats.
