i have a fnaf 4 theory i’ve been sitting on for a while. what if the mini game we play isn’t a reliable retelling of the week leading up to the crying child’s bite; rather the story is being told from Mike’s perspective. this would explain why there are so many callbacks to older games as Mike is misremembering details / backfilling them in with things he experienced in the first three games. This would also alleviate the headache from a lot of tiny details that don’t line up with the narrative because it’s reasonable to say that Mike is an unreliable narrator and is making a lot of assumptions for events he didn’t personally witness. The reason CC is always crying is because that was Mike’s perception of his brother (which fits in line with the douchey older brother depiction of his character in FNaF4). 4 games 1 story; the story of the fourth game is Mike confronting his demons and processing through the bite of 83. as far as the night gameplay idk but i’m certain it was never intended to be from CC’s perspective. Whether it’s a nightmare or it really happened i think it’s poetic to interpret it as a metaphor for Mike’s guilt i’m not a professional fnaf theorist so idk how or if the implications impact the greater story but that’s how i’ve always interpreted fnaf4 and honestly i feel like this interpretation requires the least suspension of disbelief then most fnaf4 theories and could be used to solve the first 4 games.

My main theory is that Shadow Freddy is actually a good guy trying to help the children but taking actions in his own hands (basically an anti-hero) contrary to RWQ trying to comfort the children for instance we see him bringing the animatronics to the safe room to get dismantled by Afton but in the guide is confirmed that both him and RWQ wanted to free the spirits from the suits, then we got Fnaf 4 and thanks to the files, the Hide and Seek parallel with RWQ we know that him and Nightmare are the same being and in the logbook it was Michael that has seen N. Fredbear/Nightmare so he probably haunted Mike to making him feel guilty about the incident with C.C in 1983, then we see him again in UCN as Nightmare/Nightmarionne to torment Afton in UCN

I just recently watched the video Game Theory posted on the whole Cassidy is an Afton thing and it led me to another idea. They talk about how in the FNAF 4 mini game where CC is locked in the storage closet by Micheal, its a child stuffed in the Fredbear suit and that’s apparently what the Fredbear plush Is talking about when it says “Remember what you saw” I think it’d be weird if there was a kid inside of the suit because I don’t think William just went around killing kids, he only did what he did because he was trying to save CC but just got lost along the way. Im not sure what exactly would be in the suit then, but I’m just assuming wires. I remembered that one comment Scott made on his website during that old livestream where he said something like “What’s seen in the shadows is easily interpreted in the mind of a child” maybe the moment in the closet is what Scott and Fredbear are referring to? Micheal locks CC in the closet, and CC’s young mind full of fear, and that has heard the playground rumors about people getting stuffed into suits, interprets something as it’s not. He thinks there’s a kid inside the suit-and that’s what he saw and why Fredbear tells him to leave. This may be a reach, and im not a fnaf expert but it made sense in my mind. Keep up the good work!!!

Which i think means willaim lored the animatronics to the back using fredbear. Thats also why they never appear again in a cannon game. I think that Henry helped William make the Funtimes. Here me out ha-ha because I don’t have this completely worked out, but it makes some things fall into place a little better IMO. 1. It gives William a reason to kill Charlie outside of “revenge.” Since they were business partners at the time, perhaps William brought the plush Fredbear to Henry, asking him to help experiment with a new concept he named “remnant.” Henry would of course say no, thus causing William to force Henry’s hand by killing Charlie, giving Henry motivation to try and bring his daughter back. Just like in the books, Henry would create Baby, but after Elizabeth dies, he takes a step back, realizing how messed up what he did was. 2. It gives more context to “Immortal and the Restless.” William would be denying the whole time that the baby is not his, which would be William saying that to either Mike or someone else (if it was Mike, then that would give Mike even more motivation to come after William AND to seek out Henry, plus it would give him more motivation to not work directly with Henry since not only did Henry play a part in getting his sister killed, he also was so depressed and out of it that Mike thought he was useless) and then finally admitting that it was his when he thinks Baby may be possessed. 3. In the books Henry does create Baby in his grief (I think he makes several Elizabeth animatronics and then William uses one to make Baby), so there is a parallel already to this interpretation 4. It would give even further context when he says things like “prisons of my making” and “set to new purpose in ways unimaginable” (might be slightly misquoting but you get the gist) 5. If we assume “Desk man” is Henry, and his “mind isn’t right” and he “made something terrible,” that would also be explained by this theory. After Elizabeth dies, the Funtimes are converted to a rental service, William would do the MCI, start experimenting with their Remnant, then leave and try to get more at the FNAF 2 location, telling Mike he needs him to put Baby back together before he returns so he can use the Remnant to bring he back to life somehow. Like I said, some timeline stuff does need to be worked out, but I’m hoping that someone can pick up the pieces and put them together more neatly (pun intended) P.S. I love you Gibi :)

I think that The Puppet in Give Gifts Give Life was trying to give four of the five MCI kids their happiest day, but when this didn’t work she brought them to life. The reason she could not get them to move on was Golden Freddy. Whether or not it was Cassidy preventing the Puppet from giving the children their happiest day, or if it was the other children refusing to move on without Cassidy is debatable, but it’s probably the latter imo. It’s possible Charlotte realised they would not move on without Cassidy, and that is why she brought them to life, so they could all move on together. The five MCI kids seem to share a connection to one another, with Cassidy being shown to have a connection to the Bite Victim in the logbook. In the FNAF 2 scenes where you see through Freddy’s POV, we see that when Golden Freddy appears, both Bonnie and Chica turn their attention to where Golden Freddy is looking (at Freddy), where as when The Puppet appears, they don’t react at all. This implies a special connection between the rest of the MCI kids and Cassidy. It’s possible that when the Fredbear plush tells Bite Victim “we are still your friends, do you still believe that?” that it is Cassidy speaking on behalf of the MCI kids who presumably either befriended Bite Victim when they were all alive, somewhat similar to how the protagonists of the Silver Eyes were friends with Michael Brooks prior to his death, or they befriended one another as spirits after their death, with Cassidy communicating the Bite Victims memories to the others (which presumably would make Glitch Bear in FNAF World Cassidy, trying to put the pieces in place for everyone.) Regardless, it seems like the MCI kids either aren’t able to move on until they have access to the Bite Victims memory of happiest day, or refuse to move on without him (with them using his memory as a way to try and help him move on perhaps).

I commented on an earlier video with a theory that midnight motorist could be about cassidy's death, and after some extra research I still stand by that. Basically, kid who ran away in midnight motorist is Cassidy, he has an abusive father, footprints outside are Afton's from the springbonnie suit you know the drill. There's 3 minigames you have to beat for the lorekeeper ending in pizza sim. One shows the puppet's/charlie's death, one shows susie's and one is midnight motorist. The lorekeeper ending itself is just the completion ending but with the extra gravestone image. This makes me think that all 3 minigames are related to the MCI and the puppet. Security puppet is obvious. The specifics of charlies death matter to show you how she came to possess the puppet. Fruity maze is also pretty obvious, it's about Susie who would be the first missing child. But I think fruity maze also relates to the other 3 main band missing children, since they were likely killed in a similar manner (Afton lures them away with some lie) and the specifics of their deaths don't really matter. That would leave midnight motorist for cassidy. The specifics of his death matter, because he's the vengeful spirit. The one you shouldn't have killed. Midnight motorist shows why Cassidy is extra-vengeful compared to the other missing children, who just kinda want peace as opposed to revenge. Toy Chica: the high school years episode 5 is the one where she mentions going to the victims house and finding a window if the door is locked. This ties back to midnight motorist with the broken window and to Cassidy who would be the fifth missing child (grave order in help wanted 2). JR's is just a bar. It's there to show that Cassidy's father is an alcoholic and clearly abusive, which in turn is to show that Cassidy's home life sucks, and gives reason to why he would just run away from home to follow springbonnie. This would obviously make Cassidy a male. It is pretty widely believed that Cassidy is female. He's male in the movie. Does it really matter? As for the secret dirt mound area thing, I honestly have no idea. It's the one thing that keeps this theory down. It obviously has some significance, since it's there, so I can't just say "it's some dirt mound" or something. I like to believe that it's a sign of someone breaking ground to build a building of some kind, since there is a discolored square with what seems to be an entrance line on the ground, in addition to the pile of what-would-be concrete (or some other material). Perhaps it's Afton breaking ground for the sister location bunker, which would (to an extent) explain how he know's where Cassidy lives, since it's nearby. Perhaps they're beginning construction on the new freddy's location there. I don't have a definitive answer. If i could ask scott one thing, it'd be to explain this secret area. Not even midnight motorist as a whole, just this area. Anyways. What do you think?

What if the Toy Chica UCN cutscenes don't represent the MCI, but the DCI (your KCI)? The only thing connecting the two are 1. murders, and 2. how Susie died. The thing that makes the connection impossible is how there are an implied 7 deaths. This could be explained by Charlie's death and the BV's death but i don't like to believe that william killed BV. As you argued in your 9 hour video, there were 6 KCI victims (6 spots of blood). As you said, Phone Guy in FNAF 2 says "whatever tragedies are going on *out there.* " This is the reason you believed that William kidnapped the KCI kids. This connects it more to the UCN cutscenes because Toy Chica kidnaps the Puppet and Pigpatch. The MCI was stated to be someone luring kids into the Freddy's backroom. Most notably how the two final victims were taken together (I agree with Dual Process Theory that it's Jeremy and Gabriel. I just think Cassidy (MCI Victim) died earlier). At no point does Toy Chica kill two people in one day. Now we get to the issue: why were there 7? Why is it so obvious that Susie was supposed to be the wolf? I could be lame and say that Toy Chica is the one telling the wolf that his dog is dead (and it likely isn't even) and Susie knows her dog is dead before William comes up to her and says that it's still alive. Very clearly different. But that still doesn't explain the 7th KCI victim. I think the striking similarities between the wolf's death and Susie's are because they are the same. I think that the reason the cutscenes are about 6 KCI kids and Susie is because Toy Chica is the speaker. Toy Chica has reused parts from Chica. Toy Chica has a bit of Susie's remnant and is sharing her story during the Highschool Cutscenes. Is this theory 100% coherent? No. Is it weird that I'm proposing the first KCI mention since FNAF 2? Yes. Does it put the puzzle pieces together in a logical way? I think so.

What do you think is the ‘one retcon’ Scott Cawthon made in FNAF? I know a lot of people complain about this series’ retcons so it’s funny to see Scott say he’s only made one. The only thing I can really think of is whether FNAF 2 took place in Summer or Fall but Scott made that post saying that the retcon wasn’t something he had to clear up directly, which he did do in UCN (debatably). Of course the answer rests on what Scott considers a retcon and I’ve left my own musings below. Starting with an example, in (the movie) ‘Monsters, Inc.’ the two main characters say they knew each other since middle school but in the prequel, they first met in university which is obviously a retcon. While, let's say in the Star Wars prequels, the reveal of midi-chlorians or Anakin building C-P30 as a kid; I don’t think an author would think of as a retcon, as it doesn’t directly contradict anything previously stated (I’m pretty sure anyway). It's just how sequels and expanded media expand things. If someone wrote a mystery book chapter by chapter (without rewrites) and a character said they were at this place at this time and in a later chapter we found out that that character was lying, it wouldn't be seen as a retcon but as a dramatic twist. Even if the author didn’t intend them to be lying when they wrote the first line. So when it comes to plot details like, 'remnant is how the fnaf (1) animatronics come to life' that’s probably not 1 to 1 to what Scott had in mind when he made fnaf 1 so some may see remnant as a retcon but I don't think Scott would see it as a retcon. The way Scott most likely sees the 'one retcon' is something like 'there is a piece of information in one of the games (information that was either direct or implied by Scott) that was later depicted to be incorrect'.
@jk844100
2 ай бұрын
“Retcon” is short for “Retroactive Continuity” which simply refers to new information that is added to a story that wasn’t originally thought of when the story was originally made. So Anakin (Vader) building C3PO is a retcon because I’m fairly sure that George Lucas didn’t create the original Star Wars thinking that C3PO of all characters was directly tied to Vader’s past, especially since there’s absolutely no indication of this in the story. It’s something Lucas thought of after the fact, and as such is a retcon. Brining it back to Fnaf, Scott saying there’s only 1 retcon is pretty bs because there’s clearly more than that. Back in the day Scott made a post saying that MatPat’s Fnaf 2 theory was “almost completely correct” but let’s not forget, the main point of that theory was that Phone Guy is Purple guy. So, if what Scott said there is true then that means now there’s at least 2 retcons. 1) The kid William kills out in the rain going from a “him” (the mini game spells out “save him”) to Charlotte, who’s obviously a girl. 2) Phone Guy was purple guy, but now he’s not.

For your next QandA, I have always found that Henry having built the Funtimes and William building the Funtimes as not being mutually exclusive. Silver eyes (or the twisted ones, I’ve forgotten which) mentions how Charlie recognized parts of the Funtimes as Henry’s (her dad’s) own while other’s as being foreign to her. Afton claiming Baby as his (SL) as well as Henry (in FNaFWorld) seems to be reasonable and even likely pointing to the truth of who has ownership of creator. Those statements however, are said by a number of theorists and fans, as well as you in your Long Timeline if I understand it correctly, as being conflicting and thus SL’s recency instead being a correction of misunderstandings. Forgive me for the long comment.

Not a question, but I’ve been trying to figure when and why Happiest Day takes place in the timeline, and why it links to Fnaf 3, FNAF World and UCN (Happiest Day must take place after this because the souls are still trapped in UCN). Also this might be a long one, so strap in. One thing I can’t help but notice is that the screen where you select the animatronics you want to use in FNAF World is very similar to the screen where you select the animatronics your using in UCN. It could just be a gameplay thing but it makes me think that these two games are happening at the same time, with UCN being William getting tortured in some form of Hell by Cassidy and FNAF World being almost like Heaven, a much lighter, fun, childish adventure. This explains why the spirits weren’t fully freed until after UCN, the events that freed from were happening at the same time as UCN. It also explains why people like Old Man Consequences only show up in these two games and why they seem so linked together (you can get the Old Man Consequences trophy by getting his ending in UCN). Since UCN was created by Cassidy, it stands to reason FNAF world would’ve also been created by a spirit or spirits. While I’m unsure of any other spirits involvement, I am very confident Charlie created FNAF World given her voice lines in UCN, ‘…you need to start out of my way,’ it implies she’s trying to do something to free William and lines like ‘it will all be over soon.’ This calls into question who the player character is in FNAF World as it wouldn’t be Cassidy since she wouldn’t be trying to free William. I believe that it is Molten Freddy/the four other four MCI kids. Given that their remnant was moulded together, it makes sense that they would be represented by a single sprite. It also makes lines from Glitch Fredbear/William make sense, like ‘this is why I created you’, he killed the MCI kids and experimented with remnant to help revive/free CC. Another explanation is that it could be Mike, given that William literally created him but I believe Michael plays a different role in this. Another thing that strikes me as odd about FNAF world is that there’s supposedly three representations of Henry (Desk Man, Animdude and Old Man Consequences), I think it’s plausible but I don’t necessarily believe these are all Henry. I think Desk Man is actually Mike, I think that in some way he helped to create FNAF World, either through literally creating video games during the timeskip to FNAF 3, or through spirit world shenanigans by playing through some video games himself. I mainly believe this because of the final cutscene of FNAF World update 2, where Desk Man says he ‘created Baby’ and Baby proceeds to kill him. People say that this is Henry since this is what happens to him in the books, but the games aren’t the same continuity as the books. In the games, Mike didn’t create Baby but it could be a metaphor for how he freed her or ‘put her back together’ and Mike is the only know person Baby killed, other than Elizabeth of course. I should clarify that I believe the video games work like a door with two locks, if that makes sense. On one side, you have someone like Mike or Henry in the physical world unlocking one of these locks, and on the other side, you have someone like Cassidy on the Flipside opening these locks. The games have to be played both in reality and the flipside to transfer messages, or to make something like Happiest Day occur. Mike could’ve played through the video games in reality in FNAF 3, which is why they’re are references to Happiest Day there, and the MCI victims or whoever you believe to be Adventure Freddy played through a version of those same minigames in FNAF World to actually unlock happiest day and free CC. This is also one of the reasons why I believe Happiest Day is featured in FNAF 3 and FNAF World, Mike worked to create happiest day in the real world during FNAF 3, but the spirits only put in the work during FNAF World. Sorry if this was all over the place and if I repeated any points, I’ve just been thinking about this a lot and wanted to get my thoughts out.

Maybe possesing is easier with humanoid creatures that would be able to physically move? Eg: A suit of armor wouldn't be able to be possesed easily because it doesn't have any way to move like an animatronic would, meanwhile tanks would be harder to control since it's not simillar to the structure of the dead person? This does have a few holes though so the theory might need polishing.

The mention of Britian around 14:10 or so (discussing the left side of the road thing) tickled my brain a bit and got me thinking… when *did* William move to America to found/co-found/fund/whatever Freddy’s and related franchises? If he was the only one with the posh accent, it would be largely irrelevant (since you could assume he got here any time after about age 8-10, when one’s speech patterns are largely fixed), but Michael and Elizabeth also having the same accent makes things murky and implies William may not have hopped across the pond until *much* later. One could argue they get their accent from their father, but typically children raised with one accent at home and another for their other socialization end up with either their socialized accent or a muddled mess between the two, not a clear copy of the “home” accent. Given the common assumption of Elizabeth being the youngest, and the apparent age at which she got scooped by Baby, it seems weird. Unless we want to construct some bizarre dual custody scenario, where Mrs. Afton stayed in Britian raising the children, until… *something* happened, at which point William, chilling in Utah or wherever, gains custody. Might explain the seemingly strained relationship between himself and Michael, or “Dave”’s tears, I guess, but it’s starting to feel far too complicated. You could also argue that perhaps Circus Baby’s actually *is* in Great Britain somewhere, while Freddy’s branded locations are in the US, but then you have to have William catching semi-regular flights to America to go gank Charlotte and the MCI kids… and if they’re not in close proximity to his laboratory, and not in a location where he can control who has access to the bodies, it seems like both a waste of time for his remnant experiments and a huge risk of exposure.

I have a theory Shadow bonnie is Cassidy's agony because Shadow bonnie is seen in the fnaf 3 minigames glitching rapidly, possibly tracing Cassidy's steps. In Princess Quest, Cassidy splits into a purple clone, possibly referencing Shadow bonnie. Also, Shadow bonnie is a rabbit showing the figure that kidnapped and springlocked her. Also golden freddy and Shadow bonnie both crash your game in their deput games.Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Gibi!! I was wondering if you’ve seen stormister’s theories (“I found the perfect solution to fnafs modern lore”/“we’ve been solving fnaf lore wrong”) id love to see a reaction video if not!! they talk about how a handful of the fnaf games (I want to say fnaf1 through pizza sim, might be wrong) are just recreations of the events made by the indie game developer mentioned in help wanted. They also theorized that the mimic is trying to mimic the stories of the indie games and make the characters who have similar names/appearances to the indie game characters fill their respective roles They explained it way better than I did and had some basis to go off of. The videos are a little old so idk if they still make sense but itd be awesome if you could check them out nonetheless. :) love ur videos btw!

for the comment with the haunted tanks/swords and stuff: i believe part of the vessel specifications might be how the basic shape of the animatronics/fredbear doll/puppet were kind of "human shaped" in that they had 4 limbs, faces, etc. i thought of this based on the earlier point of william adding brains to the funtimes to make it 'easier' to get them possessed - maybe there's just a vague human-like shape needed for something to be possessed by the humans. i completely made this up like 3 seconds after hearing the comment so anyone feel free to correct me if there's an instance of possession that isnt really human-ish. the only thing i could think of would be candy cadet, but even he is a robot build that has a "face" and "body" and is meant to talk and communicate like a person. the basic blueprint is arguably there. also the mangle dog theory? not sure how that would fit into my thought here. i guess maybe the mammal/canine-ish shape could also be satisfactory to a dog soul....? but yeah thats what popped into my head !! hope this inspires some other solutions by someone more educated than me lolol

ah i just had an additional thought: in the case of video game theory, where cassidy haunts the arcade machines, that wasnt the first thing she imprinted on - and the children are shown to be able to "exit" their vessels like when william is springlocked, so its possible she just.. moved? i guess?

Hi GiBi, I’m not sure if you’ll ever see this, but I’d love for you to talk about this: the bite of ‘83 being a “freak accident” never sat right with me. Back in the day MatPat even made a theory discussing the ridiculous amount of force it would take for Fredbear to actually wound a child like CC while performing. Is it possible that Fredbear and other animatronics could have been designed to be dangerous that early on in the timeline?

I’m working on a theory and I’m hoping the community can help me out- Could it be that golden Freddy followed William Afton back to his house after he killed Henry’s daughter in midnight motorist? Did he kill her to get the restaurant shutdown so he could retrieve the MCI bodies? Did Michael Afton see Freddy outside his window which prompted the nightmares in FNAF 4? Was the person watching TV just a sitter for young Michael while William is away? And finally, do we have a Freddy mask in FNAF 2 because William was the original security guard but he was hiding his face from the animatronics until he could tamper with the facial recognition software? Thanks in advance for any help on these ideas.

I truly believe that FNAF 4 is Mike dreaming either while he’s working night shift at the FNAF 1 location, or after his shift is over. This is why the bedroom looks like the FNAF 1 security office. The movie pretty much tells us this and that the mini games are him desperately trying to change the events that unfolded in 1983 by talking to his brother through the plush toy. In some strange way, he may actually be possessing the Fred bear plush through his dreams each night and communicating with his brother in the flip.

I’ve always thought people have misunderstood FNAF 6’s ending. I don’t think it’s a grand poetic ending to all the suffering under Fazbear Entertainment and the freeing of all the spirits. Ofc in later games we know the spirits aren’t all freed, but I bet some people just blame Steelwool for that, but I think it was always there. The FNAF 6 ending was always meant to be some attempt by Henry to end it all, but then miserably fail due to his own misunderstanding of possession, and with Cassidy. I really emphasise the importance of agony when it comes to possession. And giving a soul its happiest day as the way to rid a soul of its agony, if willing. This is why the FNAF 6 fire is not enough; it only burns the remnant from the metal, it never addresses why its possessed in the first place. The remnant may be gone, but the agony still lives on. We see this in UCN; Cassidy condemns William’s soul and traps in UCN, and some of the other souls are present, like Charlie. Why not other souls also be present? What if the MCI are there? We know the MCI and their souls are not very, conscious, or self-aware, which does fit for many of the UCN animatronics; just tormenting William because they feel this agony inside of them. (Btw I believe the Bad Ending is canon in FNAF 3 and this is why they are not free). I believe FNAF tells the stories of mistakes and misunderstandings, leading to the suffering, and the perpetuation of said suffering, of the characters, the children, William, Henry, throughout the series. This idea is not quite finalised but would love to hear your ideas :3

Because in my understanding of the lore, your soul is your Memories and experience, while remnant is other people memories and experiences of you after you die. @@echothesilent4693 sure. I believe that when you possess an animatronic both your soul and your remnant possess it. That’s why Cassidy still has so much soul, because of how agonizing her death was. I hope this helps you understand. If not sorry.

- The animatronics aren't controlled by the spirits. My interpretation is that the living memories of the victims need a material body to contain them, so the memories become imbued within the animatronics. Freddy still acts like Freddy but has these memories of being killed and that is why he behaves aggressively. What makes this all worse is that the parts get swapped around, mixing the memories up and making it impossible for someone like Henry to put the pieces back together in their original configurations. The spirits are lost and confused until Puppet gives them the gifts. After that, the spirits meander around the vicinity, moving things, changing posters, making Paper Pals, and manifesting as Shadows/Phantoms. Golden Freddy's spirit took the Puppet's two gifts by force, which seemed to drain the Puppet of her last bit of energy. That last part is pure speculation, of course. - The purple Freddy seen in Follow Me is definitely not Lefty. For one thing, it disappears into the safe room and isn't in there when Purple Guy gets trapped. I believe the purple Freddy is a figment from the memory of being killed. It's not a spirit or a real animatronic. It explains why the animatronics feel compelled to go to the safe room. They are reenacting the children's final memories :( The fifth spirit is more conscious and thus wouldn't see that figment but goes to investigate where the others went. - Regarding the haunted arcade machines, they are real arcade machines that a spirit is using to share the truth of what happened and also what is happening in purgatory. I believe it is simply one of those mystical phenomena that needs no explanation. Although I do like the theory that after Purple Guy got springtrapped, the ghosts inhabited the three arcade machines since their animatronic bodies had been dismantled.

@@bellslimes If Give Gifts Give Life, the Puppet is distributing gifts and masks to only 4 "lost souls". When it gives the last of these 8 items, the fifth spirit suddenly flashes on screen for one frame wearing the golden freddy mask and then jumpscaring the player. I interpret this to mean that the Puppet unwittingly created Golden Freddy aka the Vengeful Spirit. I believe the gifts basically represent a piece of Charlie's happiness, her positive energy. The masks give the spirits identity. The Vengeful Spirit didn't get any of that positive energy, only the mask. So I take back what I said about GF taking both gifts. It only took a mask. This is all up for interpretation though, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

@@BluyMolla-fj8ql Remnant is like the midichlorians in Star Wars. It undermines the paranormal mystique by trying to offer a scientific explanation, so I tend to ignore it. Spring Bonnie was the animatronic that the killer jumped into to hide from the ghosts, but it wasn't the suit he wore for the MCI. Spring Bonnie didn't get introduced to the story till FNAF 3, but the hints about the killer using a cartoon mascot (FNAF1) that is yellow (FNAF 2) imply it's either yellow Freddy or Chica. And there happens to be a yellow Freddy animatronic slumped on the floor in FNAF 1, as if it has had its endo components ripped out to make room for a person to wear the shell. It wasn't called Fredbear till later. I know the fanbase is stuck on the belief that the killer wore the Spring Bonnie suit for the murders, and maybe that was retconned by FFPS, but in the context of FNAF 1 and 2, the killer definitely wore the yellow Freddy shell. You can believe whatever you want, I'm just presenting my evidence.

@saeklin This happens a lot, when we try to solve fnaf we leave certain details out or flat out ignore certain details to fit the situation into our own perspective, like how in midnight motorist the character we play as is not William because he is not PURPLE. Remnant is part of the modern story. With that out of the way, I don't understand how much you know about the modern fnaf game but I honestly don't have anything to say. In the context of fnaf 1 and 2, it seems very likely that William Afton used the golden Freddy animatronic. Good observation, even though we do know for a fact NOW that William did use the Spring Bonny outfit based on the mini game with Susie in fnaf 6.

What is a "retcon?" I originally thought it was when something in the franchise directly contradicts something else in the franchise so only one of them can be correct (eg save him) but I hear people using it to mean something that wasn't originally intended. For example: using what I think??? is your interpretation of fnaf 4: Michael and CC were not intended at the time of release to be Afton's, just to be brothers. Would it be a retcon to reveal that they're all Aftons in sister location? Or is that just re-contextualizing? Is retconning just re-contextualizing?? I'm gonna go look up its entomology.... Turns out entomology is the study of insects. Go figure.
@HorrorHomestead
3 ай бұрын
Retcon is short for Retroactive Continuity. Typically it refers to when a story adds a detail after the fact that technically doesn't contradict anything but changes the initial meaning of a different part of the story. So in star wars Vader being Luke's father is a retcon. It wasn't intended in the first movie so when it happened in the second movie it retconned the first. Since in the first movie obiwan said that Vader betrayed and murdered Anakin, in the next movie he tells Luke "well...what I said was true from a certain point of view". In FNAF 1 is wasn't intended that Golden Freddy was Mike Schmidt's brother who he accidentally got killed. So that detail being added in FNAF 4 is a retcon. In the MCU it was retconned that Tony's father was friends with Steve Rodgers. When the first iron man was written that was not planned to be the case. Typically with retcons they don't invalidate or contradict something, but occasionally details have to be smudged to make them fit. So Mike Schmidt being Mike Afton is a retcon that required Scott to change Schmidt from being Mike's real last name to being a fake name he used to hide that he was Williams son. So when Scott says there was one true retcon that went unnoticed, what he means is that later in the series he drastically changed the intention of something from early on.

I really think there is a connection between the evil bunny in princess quest and that extremely powerful purple bunny that glitches through all the minigames in the fnaf 3 minigames. I think its not only possible that the spirits are communicating through video games but are also in some of the video games we see through out the franchise just like William Afton in fnaf help wanted and Cassidy in princess quest. If what you said about cici possesing fredbear doll is true, it is also possible that the story of the fourth closet is also true. It could also be possible that the 4 closets in fnaf 4 contain the four stages of Cici, and proof of that would be in security breach. If Matpat is true and our boy Gregory is actually a robot and he is connected to Cici because they literraly have the same outfit, it is possible that Gregory is the one in the first closet. It could also be Elizabeth, I don't know. Isn't it strange that we hear fnaf 2's 4th night phone call in fnaf 4 played slowed down and in reverse.

I have a question i want to ask. What are your thoughts on the fnaf encyclopedia? It sparked a theory of mine that has been bugging me forever and its because of scott and his canonicity. All of the books are considered not cannon *except* two. The survival logbook, and the encyclopedia. Which i find odd because the book series have filled in a lot of gaps that the game needed for context, but arent necessarily cannon. But these two are just like fnaf world, which means they are supposed to tell us something. In the survival book we learn about mike, CC, and Cassidy. In the encyclopedia, we learn all about the characters and points of interest throughout the fnaf universe. And its simple. Each "thing", be it animatronic or person, has an entry and information stated about it. So its literally definitions of things in the story, game, and lore. But whats more interesting is what we dont see in these entries. Mike has no last name, but Elizabeth does. The community is so sure that mike, cc, and Elizabeth are Aftons, but Mike isnt listed as Micheal Afton. Hes just Mike. And William Afton is listed as William Afton. So we know the name Afton is cannon and that Elizabeth and William are family, presumably father and daughter. But Mike isnt listed as an Afton. He is nameless. I think that means theres something more to him that we havent figured out. Its like Scott is refusing to confrim what we all think we know because something about Mike that we think we know is wrong. Scotts own way of highlighting the communitys mistake. So i wanted to hear your thoughts on the encyclopedia because its cannon but no one talks about it. Much like fnaf world.

I must commend you for your cutting through delusional fan consensus with the Midnight Motorist MCI theory (or MMCI), but I think we can take things one step further. I think Orange guy has to be Henry. Orange has always been Henry's most associated color like in the book image that everyone uses. In the UCN Chica High School thing, which one lists going to their house and using a window? The one with the Puppet. And the name "Later that Night", as you've taught us, is probably referring to that same game, like the more detailed backstory we got for the Puppet.

One thing I’ve always felt is that security breach tried to ret-con UCN to bring back afton, but I never saw people talk about it the way I saw it. You’ve got the blob, all the animatronics in one, which appear to be coming after Afton in the final cutscene all in an office setting. I saw this as Cassidy using the remains of FFPS fire to torment Afton eternally in the real world, rather than in hell. At the time, this avoided a lot of contrivances in the story for me (glitchtrap being a digital clone of Afton, vanny building a new body for glitchtrap thats just as shambling and decomposing as the old one for some reason) and just let afton continue existing as an entity without entirely ignoring his comeuppance that we see in UCN. Now that we have the mimic era, and more explicit context about afton's death through the books i obviously don't believe this anymore, but i never heard anyone at the time interpret burntrap this way, and was curious of your thoughts

how is cassidy playing all these games? does she possess them from location to location or does she manifest as a ghost kid and physically play them? If henry is trying to tell Cassidy what happened why is the story split between so many locations? where are these cabinets? Michaels journey in sister location is shown to Cassidy, maybe Henry was trying to show her that Michael is a good guy, but if thats the case why does he still get attacked? Especially if Cassidy and The Puppet have higher awareness of what they are, why still attack Michael? If all the games made prior to the MCI became haunted after the MCI and corrupted to portray the events of the MCI, which ones were intentionally made to tell the story to Cassidy, like some of the games are clearly haunted by the kids or by agony or whatever to corrupt them, like Foxy Go Go Go, but the entirety of the Fnaf 4 birthday minigames seemed to be normal presumably Henry telling the story. Im not really sure what I'm asking just thinking and trying to piece this together.

What's your opinion on the DCI? cause personally I think that people are reading fnaf 2 too literally. Ive always found that the idea of william killing 5 more kids only for them to have zero relevance later is kinda weird, but no one seems to bring it up. I have a theory that cassidy was killed in the fnaf 2 location seperate from the initial MCI. After William kills the puppet and the first four kids, freddys is closed down, after hearing of the grand re-opening he sees another opportunity to experiment with bringing his son back (its also possible that in the time between the initial MCI and fnaf 2, william has started his SL experiments.) As such he gets a job as a nightguard snd begins snooping snd scheming, at some point he springtraps cassidy (hence the old yellow suit having moved.) Due to the pain and suffering surrounding her death, Cassidy's spirit is angry and much more lucid than the other MCI kids who at this time wander lost around the Fnaf 2 location, except for one other spirit: Charlie. Having spent the last few years unsure of what to do except watch as William killed more, the puppet is faced with a new spirit that wants revenge at all costs. After conversing with Cassidy, Charlie begins to give gifts, and life to the previously dormant spirits by showing them their bodies and the animatronics that cage them and this serves as the catylyst for the animatronics to start acting strange.

Since i watched the 8 hour FNAF timeline, I've been trying to find anything that could add new things to the theory n what not. A couple of things: listening to all of the UCN voiceliness, a lot of the other voice lines not shown in the 8 hour video add credibility to most of the animitronics talking as themselves n not the children (ex. Withered bonnie saying, "My face may be missing, but even i saw this coming,") n the animitronic is missing his face, not the kid possessing him. A random thought that I had, since the movie doesnt really make sense in terms of the games n what not, going with the split narritive theory, could the movie be to the series the same way the mini games within the games are? Like how the mini games indirectly tell a story as a way of communicating with Cassidy, could the movie be a similar storytelling device like that? Or could the movie be like the security log book? A thing that we have in the real world but, is actually an in-universe movie. Or could it be like it's one of the things that were made to downplay the events that happened in universe, like the in-game indie games that were created based on the events of the series for that same reason? (I dont necessarily have evidence for any of this, but they're interesting thoughts, imo n i wanted to get your opinion 💛)

Shes behaving more like William (whos an adult) and is aware of everything going around him (Fnaf 6 death voicelines), and isnt like cassidy who is tunnel vissioned to only see William suffer, doesnt care about other kids well-being, shes selfish which makes her look like a child. While I personally dislike the Dual-Possession theory, I find it difficult to deny this blatant confirmation that the Faded Text spirit is indeeed who the name Cassidy belongs to. You even state that the solution requiring numbers written by Michael further support this conclusion. But there is something I find interesting if this is the case. The Faded Text spirit also uses the altered numbers of various pages to point in that direction, implying that the Altered Text spirit is helping come to the conclusion of Cassidy's name in my opinion. Is it possible that Faded and Altered Text are actually working together to spell Cassidy's name specifically to the reader? I don't know if this would have any important implications but I find it interesting, and if the spirits are trying to communicate to the reader, it might explain other oddities in the Survival Logbook in my opinion

This is less of a theory and more of a fact that i feel like a lot of people are ignoring or at least downplaying the importance of In the Scott Cawthon interview, he said that he only retconed one thing and like i feel like that's pretty universally agreed to be the save him minigame depicting Charlie, who is a girl, so like i think you can't really say "oh it was retconed" to explain a hole in a theory but i feel like i still see a lot of people do this also unless there's something in the books that seems like a very insignificant thing to retcon, like as far as i can tell charlie being a boy or a girl does not matter at all for the story so like why was it done i have no idea

Why does Enard only display features of one animatronic at a time. At first it’s baby but there is no indication that fun time foxy, Freddy, and Belora being there. And why is molten Freddy brown? Shouldn’t he be Funtime Freddy’s colors?

Idk if anyone asked thisbuere here goes: Most people believe monty did it. Im inclined to agree with them. However I also saw a video that examined the evidence and concluded that he didn't. He was cut from HW2 which is generally a shame regardless if his appearance was backstory relevant or not. Anyway, I'm under the impression that he DID do some kind of damage to Bonnie but someone else finished him off OR that he did all of it but not or the "wanted to replace Bonnie" reason. Yes he did replace Bonnie, but maybe they just had general beef with each other and it wasn't that deep?

I have a feeling that we might get Monty in the dlc, like a Halloween swamp themed add on

I saw 2 videos theorizing that he was framed and that he did not do it. It wouldn't, make sense because he loved bonnie and looked up to him. The only one animatronic he hated was Freddy.

Why don't you do a theory on the steel wool era of fnaf even though all the story bits for the most part have been concluded. The next fnaf game coming out is not a mainline fnaf game, its an adaptation of the books and it definitly looks cool. The way I see it, the story of the pizzaplex in definitly coherent enough and doing a theory about them or at least understanding them a lot could help make the previous era a bit more clear, like how it was Cassie's dad who was in fnaf 5 before Michel , or how in my theory, William Afton was a magician or a performer or something like that in fall fest based on the fall fest posters we see in security breach, the dinner table with the entire Afton family as staff bots (William Afton as a Magician in that), and the cut out conversation between the two staff bots in which mother staff bot decides to leave. It supposedly predates everything we see in the series. What do you think?

Can you or people who are more informed give their opinions on the video titled "GOLDEN FREDDY, MIDNIGHT MOTORIST AND THE VENGEFUL SPIRIT SOLVED | FNAF Theory"?? Its a recent video and channel but I think gives a new way of comparing and see how they the different kinds of media in the FNAF franchise relate to one another .Also the theory in the video serves as an example of this new way of thinking so it could be interesting taking this kind of reasoning and putting it into more developed theories to see if they reach the same conclusion.
