Definitely not tryna change Sam. His workouts are already very intense. However i am noticing he is pushing Sam closer to his limits and beyond with the amount of volume. And that’s a good thing. Sam is getting up there with the pro’s soon.

@@firelordplayz Sam would definitely look a lot better in Classic since he has the perfect mass for it, Open is just a diff beast you can clearly see by how big Ian quads is, literally slabs of muscle on the frame, Sam can always move up to Open when he’s older and developed much more muscle mass if he wants to go down that road

I actually really enjoyed this training session. Helping out Sam with getting more reps and telling him to control the negative on the last few reps seems like its fucking hell, but insane on the pump. Also, i like how you clarify that you're not trying to change Sam's training routine, simply just showing him an alternative, and if he likes it, he can implement it into his training. Just to add to the pointing toes on the hamstring curl question. The M.gastrocnemius (one of the big calf muscles) start above the knee joint making it a knee flexor, so by pointing your feet you lessen its effectiveness in flexing over the knee joint making the hamstrings do more of the work. Pointing your toes in an extension should not biomechanically make much of a difference other than maybe antagonist/agonist relations. Regardless, neuromuscular control is rather complex, so if it feels good/right it's probably good stuff. Great video!! Keep em coming!

Great to the chemistry you guys have. I recently decided to get more in shape and take a run at putting on some muscle instead of dropping weight. You guys are so motivating.
