Using what’s available/existing, I did this wiring, and am wondering how many codes I violated. I over stuffed a conduit probably, but the following number of breakers may be concerning:
- 200 amp outdoor shutoff breaker/switch
- 200 amp main panel breaker/switch
- 90 amp breaker for garage in main panel
- 100 amp breaker in garage 16-slot subpanel
- 20 amp breaker in garage subpanel to feed old 2 slot breaker box (that old GFCI breaker fits in)
- 20 amp GFCI breaker to feed a 20 amp outlet, AND the following 15 amp breaker that’s right next to the 20 amp GFCI.
- 15 amp breaker fed by above GFCi breaker to feed 14 gauge wires for lights and an outlet.
It seems insane, but it works (for now).
