Dr. Khaminwa is very principled. Most important point: Whenever you see the Head of the Judiciary and the Head of the Executive beginning to schmooze, there is something very wrong!! Hopefully Martha Koome and William Ruto have listened to him.

I have always respected Khaminwa even in cases where he has represented someone against my view or interest. Why? Because he has integrity and carries itt wherever he is going. May God keep him alive. By the way, I would attest to the fact that my success in life has been attributed to respect to older people with integrity like Khaminwa. I have always listened to the advise of such people and taken them whether in support or against my opinion. It has helped. Despise the older people with integrity at your own peril

Great snippets of wisdom. Let me add my points of view in validation of what Senior counsel has said. 1. The CJ & president of the supreme Court is totally out of order and by all means attempting to cause anarchy in the kenyan Judiciary system by coating an absurdity. If she is wise, let her rescind her suggestion immediately to avert a constitutional crisis. 2. The three arms of Government works in harmony with clear limitations and constitutional parameters on how each should discharge their mandate and to which level. By that , then provisions are in place on how the three works in synchronised harmony but not meet on round table to discuss perceived or imagined implications of corruption within any of their three arms. 3. Judiciary is the only hope in matters justice for all. The moment the Judiciary succumbs to pressure from the Executive on unprecedent fervent attack on the credibility of some Judiciary staff accused on culpability, they shall be the end of the trust the vulnerable mwananchi will have on Judiciary. Martha Koome shall go in history as the worst and or one CJ that ended the error of Judiciary independence. That will be the worst moment Kenya will experience post independence. To safe our country Koome must rescind that suggestion immediately. Let her listen to the voice of wisdom, interrogate her conscience and act as the provisions of the Constitution she vowed to protect. Women have made tremendous strides in kenya, let Koome not bring down what women have worked so hard to achieve since 1985 Beijing conference. Very learned and respected woman of letters now trying to destroy her many years of milestone to the ebb. Koome, please listen to our senior counsel here, law society of Kenya president, Raila and Senior counsel Musyoka. All of us Kenyans, we love you madam Koome. Do only what the Constitution has mandated you to do.

SC Khaminwa's assertion that attacking the judiciary is an offense has been vindicated. The Supreme Court has Sanctioned SC Ahmed Nassir for throwing aspersions at the court and banned him from the court. So can the President be sanctioned too. I respect sir Khaminwa always but on this issue I disagree. Judiciary has to be answerable , today the judiciary in America is becoming something else because of not calling them out for too long. Pr Rutto has no option but to deal with the issue publicly because the matters being held in a corrupt court is of great interest to the public. President Rutto must play safe on this, I promise

The CONSTITION must be followed. The so-called "President" is holding that position courtesy of the Constitution. The Constitution doesn't give him power over the Judiciary. THE RIGHT TO AN INDEPENDENT JUDICIARY IS A UNIVERSAL RIGHT. Worse of it, if you attack someone's moral character you should be above reproach. Ruto is leading a corrupt, incompetent, and rotten Executive. Let him start by cleaning the rot in his arm of government (including himself) before attacking the Judiciary. Feeling bitter because the Judiciary is stopping his conduits of corruption is expected of him and those of his character, but right-thinking Kenyans should be conscious enough not to be drawn into his piggish slugfest.

Wow, what a former CJ? Explained it well without fear or favour. And he was right, why should the Executive meet with the Judiciary? We don’t want in the 21st century our country to be governed by a President who doesn’t respect democratic decisions of the Judiciary because that is undoubtedly inviting anarchy. Instead, with all due respect the President should resign!

It is unfortunate that the interviewer kind of doesn't get the point and keeps repeating the same question. What is so hard understanding what Mzee Dr Kahaminwa is articulating - whereas there could be corrupt judges or magistrates, let those who have tangible evidence channel the same through the JSC - The interviewer ignores this sentiment and keeps asking how "corrupt judges" will be dealt with as if President Ruto or lawyer Ahmednasir have supplied him with names and sins of those judges. What they keep doing is issue blanket condemnation of the judiciary withoutbeing specific. A good journalist should first be well informed, and second be neutral but ask tough but relevant questions.
