How well researched, well paced and relevant was this episode. So interesting... really enjoyed it. Amazingly well done, Doris. I will keep watching!

Great costuming can be as important as the script or acting in a movie.

And in some cases it's become more important! People are remembering the costumes or looks more so than the lines or what the movie is even about.

Costume designers deserve their fair share - it’s the right thing to do. It seems similar to athletes being compensated - a cut of the pie that they make happen.

You should keep going with this - interviewing those that come into the store to outfit movies. Even if this lady has not, its a great thing for those that are thinking of getting into this profession.

Bravo Doris and team! 💜 Congratulations to Sophie, costuming for film and television is very tough and often "below the line" (non Union) when it comes to pay. Glad things have improved, but like the Bridgerton case, it's still a battle. Good costuming is just as important as good acting. 🌟

Just catching up with some videos I missed over the summer holidays. This was absolutely fascinating. Doris researches so well and has such a large repertoire that she makes a really good interviewer. I loved hearing Sophie having the time to talk about her inspiration, where she comes from, how costume designers are treated. She has a great eye, makes great palettes and I would say that she has been influential for a whole generation of people. So surprised to hear she worked on the video game GTA... I should look into more costume designers working for video games. Maybe there's some interesting names in there. Though I might be in the minority of people who play video games on here.

I loved this episode. I feel like we dont usually get to hear from a costume designer perspective. It's usually about the actors or directors/producers. The work is so interesting and intense how its more than just putting clothes on people. The work behind the scenes is amazing. Loved this episode and would love to see more of these. :)

Sophie, it was so nice to meet you. The designs you presented for Legally Blonde's every scene, especially Reese's character, Elle Wood, made us all smile. You kept us waiting to see what outrageously fun yet beautiful outfit/costume she would be wearing next. Each one outdoing the last. Thanks! Your work in that movie lives on, has a life of its own.

love this! thankyou, doris and sophie! the work on legally blonde is iconic. and so influential. i remember one of my teen fashion magazines discussing it to the letter. and glad u brought up the fact that behind the scenes work should be compensated especially in this day and age. on a fun note, relating to costume design and weddings: i imagined meghan in that exact dress! (sans the veil) and i guess it was coz i saw her wardrobe in suits. teecee =] 💜

Tone and delivery Paulo. I am actually stunned by your comment. From my POV- Sophie was gracious and forthcoming. Some people are not as comfortable in front of a camera and that can be misinterpreted. I’m sorry you did not see the true spirit of this creative woman.
