from a mainland filipino's perspective those dishes look legit 😂. the first and last restaurant's dishes were the type you usually see at home. the 2nd restaurant looks like a typical bar restaurant. the way they're being creative with the presentation of the food is so typical for a filipino restaurant. tho i wished more filipinos abroad can introduce dishes from southern region. mindanao cuisine is seriously underrated. kinilaw/sinuglaw, pastil, and tausug beef stew are personally my favorites.

Win Metawin More authentic than the hype food items like the fake sisig with fake raw egg or mayo, the lazy adobo, and the sad Tapsilog, which is just breakfast food. Visayas and especially Mindanao have cuisine that are not a Disgrace to Philippine culture.

It hasn’t changed much since I was there over 10 years ago and thank goodness it hasn’t! If anything it looked like the community there and Little Manila has grown, which is great! Correction on the broom. It's not made of shredded bamboo. It's made of the middle part of a coconut leaf. You take the dried coconut leaf, take the leaf part off, bundle the sticks together, tie it whatever you want (strings, rubber band made from tire interior tubes, old tin cans, etc). Now because of the wrong info, your Mom, will be preparing the OG weapon that all Filipino children fear (together with the tsinelas (rubber slippers) and sinturon (leather belt)).
