I have a Nikkormat FT2 which I purchased a couple of years ago. Even though it was released as Nikon's 'budget line' at the time, it has similar robust body construction as the flagship Nikon F2 at the time. I find the shutter speed control mounted around the lens mount, and the depth of field button mounted on the top of the camera rather than the more common location at the front to be very convenient to use. Also have a Nikon FM which has the advantages of very easy to see LED diode exposure indicators and the lens aperture setting visible in the viewfinder (Nikon called that 'ADR'..aperture direct read..don't have to take your eye away from the viewfinder to see what lens aperture you're using). Both cameras enjoyable to use and represent a time when Nikon's 'lower priced lines' still were built with high quality standards.

I totally agree. I had a FM for many years and loved it. If one comes up at the right price, I'll snap it up. As for the FT2, what a great camera.
