Good to see the small island nations being more competitive and not being walkovers, Congratulations to NRL for their awesome work with grass roots football in Australia paving the way for talented players to represent their country whether it be Tonga, Lebanon or Fiji it’s very inspiring to see.

Tonga has world class forwards and backs. They need a better spine players to truely be a world class and consistent side. Katoa had a mixed night but he is definitely worth sticking with, the attack was too flat and predictable

As a Tongan supporter congrats on the win for Kangaroos they played well throughout the game as for Tonga they were ok there were opportunities they would score but not couldn't I be disappointed Tonga's halves at Isaiya Katoa kicking shocking and Tuimoala Lolohea's playmaking not impressed I really expected more from them. Tonga needs to get their act together if they want to beat the defending Pacific Nations Champions Kiwis in two weeks.

Tonga missing a second option in the halves. Katoa kicking was off and it proved to be their downfall. Katoa will learn and will get better. I don’t know if they have another or better option in their squad but they need to make a change at 6 for the next game

Defensively Tonga were very good but there attack was lacking. I agree with Lockyer that they need to be more creative and off load more. It's a pity that they don't have a standoff playing in the NRL cos Lolohea doesn't have the game to create any problems for the defense. The halfback is good enough but made too many mistakes at crucial times. At least they can take some positives out of this game to be better prepared for the Kiwis next weekend. The upside is that they have a devastating forward pack that is world class and will match any nation for dominance.

@kers225abk2 it's not that Australia don't have a stronger team DCE is 35 Edward's is clearly the number 1 full back for Australia aside from injurys but every team suffers from that in my opinion the kiwis have suffered the most in terms of injury, anyway what I'm actually trying to say is Australia aren't weak I just believe the other nations have gotten stronger to the point they match Australia the days of the kangaroos demolishing everyone are over.
