The issue with the Emerald Night is the drivers, I think. If you look at Disney Train you can see that they do a different approach with the drivers to avoid friction causing the wheels to lock up.

According to the instructions for the Emerald Night you need to put one of the three drive wheels at a different rotation. One of them needs to be in the 3 o'clock position while the others go in the 12 o'clock position. This might work, haven't tried it myself yet. (Mine was locking up as well)

Perhaps an idea for the subway would be to connect it directly to the end of the current station? I've seen plenty of bigger city stations that have both an interior and exterior platform (mainly due to the amount of trains running through and inability to build on top of the city above) and its not unusual to see shops and vendors on the interior parts of the platform building but with a long stretch of it leading out into the daylight for trains that are over 4 carriages in length. It would also help you get around the idea of having 2 stations so close to each other in the build, you could even add a large station hub above with faux effects of it linking to the platform below.

You deserve more recognition. Also for the money laundering part of the harbor I think it would be cool to add signs like the construction signs or tape or something that would keep the public away and make sense to the story. Maybe make it part of the loading and unloading of the cargo of the harbor?

When it came to the problem with insane train car window prices, I ended up using a mixture of: Window 1 x 2 x 3 Flat Front (60593) and Window 1 x 2 x 2 Flat Front (60592) but horizontally on their side. It works well for achieving certain styles of train cars.

It's just a thought and I could well be wrong, but possibly if the walls in your in-between room are painted an off-white rather than true white, there might be a yellowish hue to the walls causing the light to reflect off them and turn yellow, especially if the lightbulbs are kind of dark and causing shadows to appear on the walls. You might be able to fix the yellow room look by getting brighter and/or bluer lightbulbs for the space.

there are DCC options now for Lego Trains, using the 9v powered rail. Also, to solve the window issue, get a 3d printer. You can print bricks, parts and so on and yes it is legal to do so, Lego doesn't have a right to the brick itself just how its assembled (aka the set not the individual bricks).

Sorry this may have been asked before but can you motorize the trains directly with lipo battery packs with Radio Control recievers and speed controllers built in rather than rely on the track being electrified? You can run many trains on the same track without any issues. Also how are you able to pay for all this being so young?

Excellent! I don’t have the sound on at the moment because my girlfriend is watching tv in the same room, but I just have to give a small word of advice. If you haven’t clarified why yet, the coal and water cars for your steam engines are on backwards. The coal’s supposed to be closest to the engine’s controls so the fireman, or stoker, can shovel it into the firebox. The water’s simply piped into the boiler through the frames underneath. If it’s a stylistic choice, then you do you.

0:48 probably color temperature, as the camera adjusts to the blue-ish light of the "main" rooms and then it goes into the between-room without adjusting the white balance. If it really bothers you you can put the same kind of light in all rooms and you won't have this problem, or you can set your camera's white-balance manually (but that will lead to the "main" rooms being blue-ish tinted).
