Love love love the storm sewer concept and execution-definitely a real world challenge for cities built near a body of water like yours is. The water tiles add a realistic and fun splash of color as well. I’ve wondered for some time how you’re managing the weight of your levels with the LEGO tiles, and so it was interesting to see how you are managing that as you design your project. Great stuff.

Thank you! I’m trying hard to manage realistic aspects of a city and just pure fun of Lego. Having a solid foundation is key for the weight concerns, it is definitely something you have to keep an eye on as the city and buildings grow larger. Thanks for watching!

Civil Eng here - There aren't drainage systems like that underground. Water is collected in catch basins and taken away through small pipes under the road, connected to the main municipal sewer. There are some larger sewers but they are typically full of water. There aren't any tunnels or rivers underground, or waterfalls like in the batman movies, unless you are in an older city like New York where they left the old infrastructure intact, but everything has been re-routed to pipe systems.

For sure, I totally agree. I looked at quite a few resources that mostly showed the NY tunnels, just like you said they are really from the past and not what I have by any means.. I’m just having some fun with it, definitely using some creative liberties haha. I just think it would be neat for the city, and didn’t want “sewers” per se.

I love how you take the time to research all the components you plan to include in your city, but then also put your creative spin on it. It allows us to experience your city in a beautiful combination of reality meets imagination and ingenuity! Thank you for allowing us to share in the fun! ☺️

Thank you, that’s exactly what I’m trying to do 😊 I appreciate your feedback!
