MAN I MISS THESE RAISED BASEPLATES. They were so helpful as a kid for envisioning builds. I wish that they'd bring them back because it saved a lot of money compared to the new 1 million pieces to make a detailed rock baseplate that children barely appreciate anyways.

Heck, even some non-lego sets have gotten weird. Instead of using like a solid one piece base plate, you have to stack multiple layers of different sized flat pieces together in some intricate way to make what ends up being a fairly basic base plate anyway 🙄 like please bring these back or don't make ridiculous builds to say so little

Pretty sweet🙏 less is definitely more in the classic styling. Overall it looks pretty great, if I had to nitpic I’d say it could use one element in the outer area, or a detached play element (usually a cart, horse, or something). Also I get not wanting to have open windows, but if you really wanted to be exact, I’d say the main buildings almost look too pretty. Clumsy stickers and big pieces are in-vocative of this era for a lot of people, but maybe I’m underestimating the build quality back then

Seriously does look cool though and classic. Those were just very nitpick-ey points

cool idea! you definitely nailed the classic castle look. made me feel really nostalgic :') it's hard working with baseplates like that because you really gotta make compromises regarding the space

Thanks, not only is the space compromising but they love to crack.
