many thanks for the review! I'm overjoyed that the set I designed is so nicely received by the community! I really like how comprehensively you approached this review. Yes, I too am least satisfied with the minifigures. Unfortunately this is due to the very limited palette in BDP. I dream that Lego will eventually release more Wild West sets together with a set of minifigures. :)

Thanks @llucky87! I've been a big fan of your creations and your humble interactions within the LEGO community. So congrats on your hard work on the General Store becoming a set and thank you for sharing it with the world! Also, I can't wait for your Western train - if I'm lucky enough to get a copy of the set, you'll have to stop by the channel again for another review video! :)

Might need to alter a tile or two with calico fabric as a General Store would carry cloth for ladies dresses. You could add the tiles into the box with the suitcases, just a thought.. Wagon is great one addition would be a rifle perhaps adding it to the side bar area, again my thoughts. The designer is so talented. Great thing about Lego's is your imagination is not limited at all!

That's the best thing about LEGO - you can modify it and add to the creation as much as you want! Those are great ideas and I might need to try some of them!

I'd recommend checking Facebook Marketplace if you can find it locally. Otherwise Bricklink and Ebay would most likely be the best options - good luck and happy building!

The female character in the dark green dress reminds me of Mrs. Olson from Little House on the Prairie. She probably read about some character in a novel wearing that combination of colors...😂

This general store looks pretty cool and makes the sheriff's look tiny and primitive next to it, but that's just a sign of how Lego evolved over the decades. However, since my collection as a kid was an eclectic bunch of tiny sets - from Ninja and Castle to Explorers - this days I'm just not interested in those one-offs. If this got the same treatment as modulars or recent Diagon Alley sets I'd be excited to have, say, a general store, a saloon, a bank and something else together creating a town. It's honestly sad to see Western theme being firmly relegated to a collector curiosity.

Good thoughts! And I agree that such a fun and imaginative theme like Western has been left on the side of the road it seems. I've actually started building another Western building--inspired by this model--so maybe it won't feel so alone.

This set reminds me of Red Dead Redemption, but in Lego.

Hmmmmm..A Lego set that's hard to find, has gone up significantly in price only after a few months, and will NEVER be widely released to the public. I'm not sure that qualifies as the western theme being "back", no offense.
@Chi-bricks

For sure, and I agree with your points. But after not getting anything remotely "Western" since the Lone Ranger series (and even that wasn't necessarily "Western"), I'm just happy to have something official added to my collection. And who knows - maybe LEGO will see the enthusiasm and give us a little more in the future? I doubt it, but one can hope!

No way cool hopefully I can get my hands on this set so I can add it to my collection

It's worth it! Though because it was a limited release (less than 30,000), the price seems to be around $200 on the second-hand market. Good luck and hopefully you can get it!

For the record , its not back. One set from a program that everyone dosent have access to is hardly back. Even if you said sort of.

You're right that the 1998 theme isn't back, but my nostalgia for it is. Plus, if this one is received well, one can only hope that LEGO will actually bring it back to life!

The figure with the long hair and the green jacket is a bit odd. Definitely looks feminine other than the face which is masculine. Confusing combo. Love the siding though, great technique. Too bad these sets are so limited in production.
@Chi-bricks

I always prefer generic minifigures to have the ability to be swapped as male or female, so no big deal there for me. And the siding technique was a thing of beauty--one of those instances when LEGO pieces fit so perfectly that you wonder how all of the math worked out. Also, I was surprised that this set didn't hit the 30,000 production limit during crowd-funding! When I first saw it, I thought it looked amazing and I think it looks even better in real life!

Why are there no minifigure revolvers?
@Chi-bricks

There are several muskets, but some revolvers would make a great addition--perhaps hidden in the barrels? Thankfully I have plenty extra along with the bandits, deputy, and Sheriff!

@@Chi-bricks The muskets actually should be rifles (part 30141).
