A lego ww1 stop motion about the 3rd Battle of The Aisne. The German Spring Offensive of 1918 caught the Allies by surprise, breaking through the stalemate of no-mans-land and penetrating deep into France.
After victory over the fractured Russian Empire on the Eastern Front, the German Empire could focus their entire efforts on the Western Front, with 50 extra divisions available for deployment. On the 21st March, Erich Ludendorff launched the Kaiserschlacht, or Spring Offensive, in a last ditch effort to win the war before the American Expeditionary Force arrived in France. At the Aisne river, the focus was on taking the Chemis des Dames Ridge and pushing on to Paris. This would force the British Expeditionary Force to leave Flanders and reinforce the capital, leaving Belgium open for a German breakthrough. The outcome of the war hung in the balance.
