As someone in eating disorder recovery for almost a decade now, Kim (SHOCKINGLY) has a good point! Avoiding moderation and labelling foods as "unhealthy" can really disrupt and decreasing a child's healthy relationship with food. Kourtney's behavior here is really concerning for her mental health, there are definite pangs of orthorexia happening. A little day with candy here and there can actually be a good thing generally! It helps teach moderation, it helps teach about treats and exceptions. I've learned not to refer to foods as unhealthy or healthy, I've learned to look at them for what they provide. Candy doesn't really feed your body, but it does feed your feelings and your temporary happiness! Having that as an "every once in a while" food is great. Every food has a value, and some foods are better to have more often, and some foods less often. "Healthy" food and "unhealthy" food can often be a really reductive approach to have with eating well, and comes from a very disordered culture(s) of eating and food. (sorry to those of us in the USA, we have it so bad here regarding this diet and ED culture

I can relate. My mom turned into a crunchy almond mom when I was around 20 years old. It was also due to her diagnosis of several hormonal conditions (which were all due to genetics mind you, not because of lifestyle and diet) so she has a few food items that she had to consume in moderation. Her being this devout religious almond mom, she took it to the extreme and forced us to eat like her. I was already grown up by then but now she also does it to my daughter. Thankfully, me and my husband are super close to our 8 year old and whenever my mom is being a crunchy almond mom with her, we are quick to have talks with our daughter and explain to her how to deal with grandma. Just to list a few of how crunchy mom is. 1. Cold water is a no no (even tho we live in a tropical country near the equator) because she believes cold water will give you cough and cold. 2. Sweets are bad because it will spike your sugar and give you diabetes. 3. Fatty foods are bad and should not be eaten, not even a little. 😅 4. Oh and last but not the least, salt is bad! Oh my God, whats for dinner? Oh we’re having soup of some sort? Guess what, its gonna taste like water because who needs salt. 🫠

EYYYYYY PSA from someone who has had lots of friends of friends have medical emergencies due to this GD jade egg and similar products; *DONT put anything all up in your orifices without an anchor!* These jade eggs don't have an anchor, and things have... happened, leading to an emergency room visit. Be mindful of "insertables" especially when distributed by a brand that doesn't specialize in this type of niche market. There are safety standards for a reason, G-Pal is already such a shifty, exploitative grifter, her brand isn't likely to look into safety, as they've not done for almost every other product that has caused health issues, or has promised products are capable of "healing" of certain types that are absolutely, provably, medically-false information. I recommend a google deep dive on her brands, there are some good podcasts out there that cover her many grifts and even scams in some cases.

ANY supplement brand that only shows ‘proprietary blend’ on the label id never buy! It immediately makes me think they’re intentionally hiding something, it’s a tactic you mainly see w/ MLM products sooo🙄, if you were proud of what’s in them & genuinely cared about efficacy of the product you’d want to show each ingredient & the mg for each. I tried the Halo Beauty Kiwi supplements back in the day and they absolutely WRECKED my skin. I actually bought them two separate times about 1.5-2 years apart because I didn’t realize how bad they made my skin the first time since I had been an adult acne sufferer for years and just stopped buying them the first time due to cost. After years I had finally gotten my acne under control and was looking to have a more “glowy and radiant” complexion, and Halo Kiwi ended up popping up again on one of my feeds. Within 2.5-3 weeks of using it again, my face was so broken out with angry pimples and I looked like a complete grease ball no matter how many mattifying products I tried to use. It allegedly completely saved some people’s skin, but idk if I buy it after the awful experience I had TWICE.

The problem I have with the Kardashians is their audience is usually young, I am 21 and the girls in my age don't care at all about them. My cousin and her friends do, they care so much about brands, designer stuff and outward appearances. Her age rage is 16 to 18. Kylie and Kendal especially relate to this being the younger siblings and having more basic make up sets and fashion. These women are advertising supplements, shape wear and healthy eating because that is age appropriate FOR THEM. Even if some girls my age were buying this stuff (which I believe the American audience is..) What normal 20 to 30 year old needs supplements? shapewear? This message that they send is harmful. Because Kim needs it so do you, and if your wearing it your younger sibling feels insecure too. The whole thing to me feels like a money ploy which has turned into a lifestyle and they can only blame themselves for setting unrealistic standards for themselves and now others. I feel bad too because you can see in Khloe it deeply affected her body image. Kim set the standard, Kourtney keeps it and Khloe has to change to fit in. If it affects even their inner circle, why would this way of life be healthy? It isn't. But they have the show, the money to make brands and this obviously makes them alot of money. To me, its just a shame that this twisted way of thinking is being normalized. Smooth skin, no lines, glowing 24/7, beauty is pain, being skinny thick, all things they peddled that even the Kardashians struggle to keep.

just for information, magnesium can help you sleep by relaxing the body cause it works in the process that regulates the excitability of the nervous system (by chemical reactions with neurotransmitters) and it’s been shown that hyperexcitability provoques sleep disorders, thus magnesium can be considered as a regulator of the quality of your sleep. also on of the most important things in supplements how the bioactive substances are added on the supplements formula (apart from the concentration), some molecules may be better than others (magnesium is not added just as the element) in delivering that substance

I personally haven't, but I understand the struggle with doctors not listening and just doing research myself to find vitamins that might help that I now take (just the actual citamin at the store or a women's daily) to help me out. Don't fall for over labeled supplements. Just look up what vitamins might help for you. Or find a new doctor until you have one that listens.

The only reason they aren’t run into the ground imo is that the women behind the scenes running the day to day operations and they seem to be working towards longevity rather than quick profit. I was told that the antibiotics had killed all of the good bacteria in my gut and to stop the antibiotic and start eating probiotic foods and drinks. That helped a lot . The only supplements I take are the ones I was directed to take by my doctors. More specifically, I only use that brands my doctor’s recommend because those brands have the content of their supplements verified by independent labs. If you haven’t been told you *medically* need or would benefit from a supplement, it shouldn’t go in your body. If a supplement brand can’t show you analyses of everything that is in their product and in what amounts verified by someone who has no financial stake in the company, their products shouldn’t go in your body. Fun fact I learned just the other day from my doctor about melatonin. If you are someone in your 40’s or below, melatonin does nothing for you. Its basically placebo. Why? Because at that age, the brain produces way more melatonin than our body needs to affect our sleep. So if you are having sleep issues, its either due to another underlying condition or due to physical or lifestyle factors. Basically, you only really need melatonin to help you sleep if you are actually deficient of it, just like other supplements.

Hey, I just wanted to pop in say, that the form of your supplement can significantly influence how efficiently and quickly your body absorbs the nutrients. Its form (depending on the mineral or hormone, whatever you want to supplement) may affect the accessibility of those nutrients to your body, which may affect its absorption in small intestine. Some supplements are not fan of acidic enviroment in your tummy and may even be deactivated by it (Zinc salts, Magnesium), some welcome it (Calcium). If you are looking to supplement any nutrient I would advice you to look up, whether all the minerals/hormones in your supplements (since there is often combination of multiple) prefer the same enviroment for more successful digestion! It would be a shame if you bought supplement pills just to find out they do not even get digested properly (due to enteric coatings). Please, everyone, remember to take and choose your supplements wisely, you also do not need to overdo it (your liver will thank you). Stay safe!

Don’t get me wrong, get your bag, but can’t a good chunk of these supplement brands also be sued? Like I get that this brand probably gets more push because it’s from a Kardashian, but so many of these health and wellness brands do the same thing

I have to disagree with one thing you said, gummies are not the same as taking capsules or pills. It has been proven time and time again that gummies are inferior to the other options. If people need vitamins, and can’t swallow pills, then by all means. Don’t even get me started on the people who take massive amounts of supplements that do little to nothing. But it’s their money, let them feed into the billion dollar supplement industry 😂
