G'Day Sam 👍 Mate, I think its great how you de-mistify bonsai and make it achievable for the average bloke. Cheers and thanks

another great looking transformation! Your confidence is really beginning to grow. That lemon tree is going to be beautiful in a few short years. You are so lucky to have such a long growing season. We have been hit by a series of snow storms. The only to tell it’s nearing spring is the longer daylight hours. Cheers Sam and keep those videos coming. I look forward to your posts very much!

Good job Sam, I liked the way you attached the wire to the pot. I have my trees in ceramic pots so I go pass the pot and attach to the table or stump that I have them on. Felling sorry for some of your mates with all the ice. It makes spring much more enjoyable.
@SamDoeckeAussiebonsaibloke

Yeh mate lots of ice. If you have a lip on your ceramic pot you can wrap a wire around the pot and attach your wire to that 😀

Now that is a base and a half. A pity you had to cut the pot. Pots like that are expensive because they are so strong. Size I see by your video runs about $78 wholesale. Does, though, make a good bonsai pot.

Bonsai Bloke I hope you can help me out. I grew several lemon trees from seed. I don't really know what kind of trees they are though. Is a lemon tree a eucalyptus tree? The leaves look darker and fuzzier than the tree in your video. The leaves smell like very strong lemon when you touch them. Winter is coming soon here in Canada. Do you have any advice how to keep them from dying over winter? Should I just keep it in the garage? Or maybe move to the cool basement? Thanks mate.

Also from seed they sometimes grow different to the mother tree. Mine is 7 years from seed and yet to flower so who knows. 😀

Hey mate. No it's not a eucalyptus. As for protecting it just don't let it get below freezing and it will be fine. They can take a small frost but that's it. A window in the shed would be enough as long as it doesn't freeze😀🥶🥶
