1:01:00 yeah, that's basically the idea. but thise double watertight lodges are not the most efficient way to build a dam, for example the screwpress, copist, artist and liquid storage house are also 2x2x2 but with only 3 beds, the sammill and crate storage house are 2x2x3 and also three beds, the factory is 2x2x4 for only 6 beds etc. if you look up the tools you have on hand you can definitely dam up the valley 3 to 4 tall without too much of a population explosion. Once you'll have your farming plateau set up, feeding 50 beavers should not be a big issue, and the dam will hold plenty of water to keep them hydrated =) And if you're happy with a tiny dam also, don't forget that your farms and pumps are watertight too, you can make easily a 1-2 tall dam with a bunch of farmhouses, forester, pumps and whatever you like. I see you're using the fast reciepe for your mushroom but in my opinion it's not that great, it's good to have one for getting rid of excess sawdust from the sawmills, but if you gave to make sawdust manually to run them, you're effectively feeding 5 gnawers just to make shrooms a bit faster, that doesn't seem like a good deal to me. now that you have plenty of logs and water, the slow reciepe uses far less workforce. Also be careful with being too trigger happy when killing blueberries, don't forget that you cannot plant them back until a very long time, and you need them for science while your beavers keep eating some every now and then, if you rip out too many you're going to be in trouble. but i made them spread relatively fast so you can always clear some space and let them expand if you need. and as usual great video ! nice to see you're getting used to this mod =)

Since the mod creator made 'The Small Leaky Bath' for people demanding to play on hard mode with this mode even tho it shouldn't ever be done, may I suggest: "The Thinking Stump". It's just a tree stump a beaver sits on and ponders the future all day, It'd only make a single science point every 50 hours but it'd still a science point more than you would otherwise have. Spamming wouldn't really be a problem cuz I doubt anyone early game would have a dozen free beavers to let sit all day.

27:32 You needed paper to make gears. And you needed gears to make paper more effectively, and to make something else that I also forgot.

→ 28:43 "Now this isn't ground only" - the "Works as a levee" is a replacement for the "waterproof building" in the U4 version you played. It means the same: It can only be built on the ground or other buildings which work as a levee. So would have to put a 1×2 levee-like building here to put your farmhouse on top (not sure whether these actually exist). → 31:33 "I can't really deprioritize this irrigation lodge because these have to be irrigated" - It just needs 20 water for more than 7 days. No need to have a beaver tied to this - deprioritize it for workers, prioritize for haulers, and make sure you got at least one hauler working (likely a few more if you got many such buildings). It also becomes more efficient, as the hauler gets a carrying bonus. → 37:23 You could occasionally unpause the gatherer flag here and let them collect the berries - you can unpause when all is gathered. (Pause the gatherer flag elsewhere during this time.) This would certainly contribute to improve the food situation somewhat (and also give some berries for science). (Done 49:13.) (Also, use the lemons?) Also, near your tappers area, you could also put a gatherer flag to gather some lemons and berries. Free food! → 49:33 Ah, the lemonade stand works as an additional water storage. Nice. → 53:15 The farmhouses have quite a bit of storage built in, so building additional tiny storages nearby is not that important compared to other production buildings. → @Lapantouflemagic0 already commented on it, but for your dam, use other buildings you want to have anyways, like industrial ones. To avoid population explosions, you can pause some of your lodge tower buildings at the same time until you are ready for the growth.

I have a few suggestions, Firstly, since you have beavers living on that hill (lemon hill I can say 😅), why don’t build a water pump? There would be 6 inhabitants (4 adults) spare one for badwater bucketing post, one gatherer flags, one irrigation lodge & another one for water pump. They would be self sufficient for water & for food (berry in this case). You have a shortage on plank. You have only worker on sawmill. Also you can place a pile for saw-dust near mushroom growers, although not necessary.

The animation for the clay pit doesn’t stop when your on max clay. You’ve got 4 beavers there and max clay.

1. Do large water storage need gears to build ❓ 2. To use watertight houses as levees without being housing .. DON'T let beavers access the door⁉️ ( maybe it's in different district or simply no path ❓)

6:58 It doesn't say it repels contamination, the irrigation lodge says that. But if it was further from the river, it could have helped keeping the plants there irrigated.

59:15 I don't think it is that useful for now, because you can't divert bad water yet, so it would be constantly contaminated.

58:07 That's the point of the flags I mentioned. Over-saturate the need for jobs, then put the pumps at the lowest priority and the flags just above that. This way the beavers will leave the pumps widout you needing to close them.

@@PauxloE could, either way works just fine. my way you'd eventually have to do that anyway, or rejoin the path to it. but the lazy way for now would be to just let it be and ignore pathing to it haha

1:02:00 unlock the tripple lodge with door on the ground floor. Place it where you had it, pause it so it will build but not let beavers live in it. Cut down the trees along that valley Place the dams either side of the triple lodge, or houses, depends if you want a super deep water storage or not… But you need to build a path up to the source of that river and build a bad water bypass!!!! Get started with the dynamite! Build an Alchemists!
