This is the ONLY way I can wer my hair forreal. And for any one reading this that may be experiencing excessive shedding, try the hair masks thats out there. My hair was coming out so fast, like when I shower, hair was all over me EVERY DAY! Even getting stuck in my butt crack (a LOT). I used a fenegreek pudding hair mask and it stopped the shedding immediately! I can now count how many hairs come out throughout the WEEK! I no longer have hair in the drain or in my combs and brushes even when detangling. Ive seen more growth in the last minth than I have seen in the last 2 years! I have to add, I also asked the Most High for a solution!!

I've got superfine hair, but have lost some density due to age, and health. I just have to really pay attention because I think my hair behaves differently every 3 to 5yrs. At one point I tried avoiding heat but it just works better to keep it streched so I blow it out. These round brush blow dryers thats for volume have been the easiest. I also use products differently. My Fine hair really doesn't like heavy stuff. So oils are only used as treatments, and to protect the ends.

It's so refreshing to see someone that has the exact type of hair that I do, because in my school and even online when I search for people with '4c' hair, yes their hair is kinky and defies gravity just like mine, but their hair color is much more darker and fuller compared to my brown fine strands. I decided to go natural in 2019, but no one really taught me how to care for my hair. Even if I would go on KZitem to search for different methods to grow out my hair and retain length... it still felt like I was doing something wrong. I would do all the different styles of box braids and not touch my hair for a whole month! No moisturising, washing, oiling, none of that. And I'd wonder why I had accumulated enough build-up to cement a house. So this year however, I took off a couple inches and decided to actually learn what it is that my hair likes and needs, in order to make it grow. Watching your video, opened my eyes to seeing things differently, because all this time, I've been doing what works for other people's hair. I think it's high time I sit down and learn everything there is to know about MY hair. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@SharatiaBanks

Well, that’s honestly good that your hair shrinks up. My hair is stretched here but once I add water and she dries, she shrinks all the way up. I only showed how it looks wet in my other shorts but my “week in my hair” video shows how it looks dry and there’s definitely shrinkage. Shrinkage is a sign of healthy hair. As for the roots, maybe try flaxseed gel. It has healing properties for the scalp AND it’s moisturizing. You can also try to wrap it at night to lay it down, and in the morning it’ll be flat. I wear a bonnet cause I don’t mind the frizzy roots Sorry for the long response. ❤️

Im usually either on braids or slick back ponytails. I did notive that my hair ALWAYS falls off when i take out my braids, my dilemma is i cant really do any other hairstyles apart from braids and slick backs, but i dont think theyre helping my hair at this point. Any suggestions ? I really wanna groe out my hair
@SharatiaBanks
4 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks for your question. If we have the same texture braids can work. However, it depends on the type of braids. You’ve been noticing that when you take your braids out you’ve been noticing breakage. It could be the added hair. If you don’t use added hair, it could be the lack on moisture. Ponytails can be high tension on our hair especially if don’t frequently. This also leads to weakened hair this breakage happens. I’d suggest doing a low manipulative style like flat twists. It’s cute, stylish, and easy on the hair. If you can deep condition weekly, do it. It makes a hugeeeeee difference ❤️

@SharatiaBanks

imo, not necessarily. It really depends based on case (the area, if it's consistent, how the strands look zoomed in, etc) our hair grows at different rates so where the middle of head grows faster than other parts, it may seem a little off. so hair stylist may want to cut it for aesthetic purposes. it will look pleasing to the eyes to cut to areas that are denser, but ultimately, it depends on many factors.

@@user-bc6gd7vn8r I did because I had a previous style in that required my hair to be stretched. and most recently I did to cut my ends. So I suppose, yea I blow dry it. I used to have fine hair but it got thicker after using the Crece Pelo Treatment as a deep conditioner . I started using it after watching a vid by Nickybnatural and was really happy with the results because my hair felt stronger and thicker. I only stopped using it due to cutting my hair really short but felt like sharing. As with all products though it may work for some but not for others :)

This is how I keep both my daughters hair and my oldest is 3 with hair down her back, my younger is 2 (who was bald at 6 months) with hair down her to top shoulders. My husband said no styles until 1 years old, so this is only with (2) and (1) years of actual manipulation for each child.

*Feed in knotless braids are what really helped me!!!!* Hair type: high density, fine strands. Put this in my hair on a whim, decided to keep them in for a month because i didn’t know what to do next w my hair. I washed it and redid the front section on a weekend - just took out the braid, moisturised it added a bit of gel and fed in a new fresh extension, one at a time. I curled the ends and kept them in for another 3 weeks. I redid this another 3 times keeping it in for 4 months, only ever redoing the front as that’s what people will see first. I always had people ask how I had my hair in for months and it still looked ‘fresh’/ ‘clean’. It wasn’t until i brought attention to all the new growth at the back and middle of my head they realised I weren’t lying😭! The back just looks full and fluffy and honestly blends well w fresh parts at the front up until a point. I really recommend this method if you love the added length and want to try new colours! Mine was butt length, brown extensions on top of my virgin black locks and i was obsesseddd with the countless styles i could put them in! Just keep the addition minimal, as that’ll keep them lightweight and low tension. I took it out at 4 months bc at that point my new growth was like 2cm lonng and becoming more noticeable in a bad way. Went really gentle on the detangle and wash, trimmed ends by like .5cm then chose a new hairstyle (this time fulani braids). I plan to do this method again for 3-4 months! Hope this helps y’all🫶🏾

Protective styles cause me more breakage,
@SharatiaBanks
5 ай бұрын
Maybe if it’s done incorrectly, yes I’ll agree. It’s best to know the hair type to style accordingly. For instance, with my hair type, if I wear it out, I’ll have single strand knots and more breakage. Doing this have allowed me to keep the length. Cause I keep it moisturized and apply no tension. Hope that helps

Yea, it’s a texture thing.. you might need to do them smaller and wet them so when it’s dry it’ll stay braided
