Yeah, I have a Lenovo Flex 5 as well. Lightly used for less than a year. Started experiencing the same issue. I think it has to do with a loose connection of the cable on the left monitor hinge. I think every time the screen is moved the contact is broken in the loose connector. I can move the screen again a get a better connection, but I'd have to avoid moving the screen. Quick google and it seems to be a common issue which is disappointment. This is probably my first and last Lenovo and heading back to Dell laptops.

I agree, got great price on this in 2017 for Christmas time, always good luck- This was just one ---- system, and about a year into it, BAM--- just got worse.. I don't waste money on warranty at the big box stores- (normally, I repair their issues). I just lost patience with mine. 150$ now in parts.... What a b--tch to repair- Nearly have to dssemble the entires system- and then HOPE the display doesn't crack. (and it did). DELL XPS calling me or an HP.... Lenovo screwed many over on this.

I have a ridiculous fix to this problem!! My Lenovo Flex 5 was not as bad as yours, but still bugged me a lot. Thank you for your KZitem to help others out. I thought that I had to take it to a technician, so I purchased a mirroring program to download ALL files to a newly purchased computer. It took about 3 days to complete the transfer. After all the contents were transferred, my Lenovo Flex 5 was no longer flickering!!! Can you believe that??

I have the same problem, but i bought my lenovo flex in us, and i live in brazil. So have you fix this problem? I saw a lot of people saying that this problem may be related with the cable on display. Have anyone solve the problem on this notebook?!

Many years of repairing laptops, and this was the worst piece of ---- I have ever worked on or bought- Almost a guarantee of risk cracking screen if you can't get all that tape out. to remove the display. Now, not just went to order new cable, but also screen. Same issue as others- The adhesive tape in the back to secure the screen was nearly impossible to remove- Went from "let's replace just the cable to see if it works, to ___, now I need a new screen. Just disgusted with the design of this model- I have used Lenovo's for years, and typing on an older i3 ThinkPad. Weighing options of after market parts, put together, and sell, or sell as is for parts. Lenovo really screwed many over on this model.... Maybe I should have joined the lawsuit against them. Was on business travel when it went out. And not wasting my time at OD where I bought it to have them ship it out. Great while it lasted- 600$, just blown now unless I can savage for parts. (Ebay)
