the best Review I've seen about the Lenovo Vr so far

Don't wait. Get one now. VR needs people like you to support it. People who really have an interest in it. You won't be disappointed. It's simply incredible to be transported somewhere else entirely all from where you sit or stand.

the Mirage Solo can be purchased in March 2020 for under 100€ ( around 118$ ), the Oculus Go still goes for 230 - 250€, so the Mirage is the price/fun factor winner. So when you´re new into VR and just want to try out the world of VR i would suggest for 100 bucks that´s the thing you wanna buy. I think you´ll even be able to resell it for the price in a year or so. By the way this is THE BEST review of this headset so far that i have seen on youtube so far. So i have to sub this channel as a reward Lon is putting in his videos. Cheers from Germany though ;)

Why not mention that a major difference between this and GO is that GO typically runs at 60hrtz (although it can scale to 72hrtz for brief stints).

Reposting my hot take comparing the Lenovo Mirage Solo to the Oculus Go. I'm new to the mobile VR space and have experience with the Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality headsets. I really didn't think much of mobile Vr until the standalones hit. Now i'm hooked. I stuck the Lenovo Mirage Solo on my face for a few hours yesterday. What a hunk of JUNK! My reasons the Oculus Go is the best Standalone VR solution: Oculus has a browser. Lenovo doesn't. No web, no go! (Update! Google has confirmed Chrome is coming to the device. Early launch to take the wind out of Oculus Go's release anyone?) Oculus works in the dark. Lenovo has cameras for tracking. Turning off the lights sends the screen sailing to a random location. I've had tracking issues with low light living rooms. Not everyone has even studio lighting at home. A 6 DoF headset with a 3 DoF controller hasn't proven to be a big game changer so far. Oculus has built in audio and a headphone jack. Lenovo is headphones only. Oculus has social software options for meeting up with friends, playing games and watching media. Lenovo has the KZitem app. (An Exclusive!) There wasn't a Hangouts app in the play store. Basics are missing! And finally, price. I got the $249 64GB Oculus Go. I paid a sale price of $350 for the Lenovo. The normal price is $399 It all adds up to a Lenovo (Google Daydream) Failboat! I'm very tempted to send mine back to Amazon.

The very minute I gave in and bought an expensive PC and the Vive, all these devices were released! Vive, Oculus, PSVR are Gen1. This one is Gen 1.5? Maybe Gen 2? Anyway, the computer-in-headset idea may be the way forward for VR.

One of the better Lenovo VR reviews I have seen on youtube! Good job! It was very informative. I am a Rift owner, and just purchased the GO. I am on the fence of purchasing a Lenovo... One correction at 6:40 - The Oculus and HTC vive headset does NOT see the remote. The sensors see the hand controllers. As a VR lover, it is important that if you review VR headsets, you are fully familiar of how the headsets work.

Yeah, that too for when your WiFi is crapping out and/or if you don't want to use their antennas. TPLink show cased their wireless VR on 60Ghz WiFi and there was no latency or quality loss.

Hopefully, these things might become less expensive and smaller. If they do get them smaller and cheaper, it would make a long flight so much enjoyable by watching a film. I could see temporary forgetting I'm in a cramp plane with this. But $400 for a curiosity right now is too much money.
@biglevian

Teddy for a plane you could get the oculus go. Since you are sitting anyway three degrees of freedom should be enough.

I actually enjoy the Gear VR with my S8. The only thing I don' t like is needing to use my phone. I like the idea of the Oculus Go and I think the price is right on point. In fact, having the Gear VR has pushed me to save for a newer PC, but I don't really like the idea of being tethered to my PC. I've tried the Oculus Rift a few times and I was complettly blown away.
@pumpuppthevolume
6 жыл бұрын
well u know that what the go can do is exactly the same as gear vr ....except it's a bit more convenient.......if u want real full head tracking daydream is now starting to do that....and u sound like u want something more casual than desktop vr my advice will be buy whatever u want ......try it out ....and resell it 6 months later for like 70-80% of the price u got it for
@kpbendeguz
6 жыл бұрын
The hardware specs are definitely good price/performance wise, but the main problem is the daydream platform's lack of content and a practically non-existing support of 6dof. So if you buy this now you'll probably pay $200 more for a feature you can't really use until developers take 6dof daydream seriously (which will definitely take a while). If you already have gearVR then choosing oculus go is a no-brainer since you can keep your software library. Anyway if you live in the US order the mirage solo from amazon and send it back if you don't like it. Better to loose some shipping costs than being in doubt of your purchase.

I have not been able to find the developer options to disable the safety barrier. I received my headset today, and right away it prompted me to update. Does Google Earth work on it? Lenovo.com is offering $100 off your first purchase if you sign up for a newsletter. For $50 more than the Oculus Go 64GB version, it might be worth it. How does the display compare? Lenovo has LED and Oculus Go has some new-fangled LED with fast refresh right?

Well, this price tag should be reassuring. A VR headset with these capabilities for less than the price of a typical smart phone is incredible, seeing as smart phones have been around for over 10 years and VR only 3 years. It means the price will be even lower in short time.

@jason_v12345

It also has a faster processor. But, yeah, whether the difference is worth $200 depends on what you value and how much you have in your bank account. If you're new to VR, get the Go.
@pumpuppthevolume
6 жыл бұрын
oculus go with the same storage is 250......and the Go is the same as gearvr and 3dof daydream phones .......the Lenovo can give u a *REAL VR EXPERIENCE* with actual head movement in vr and they can easily update it for more walking around space like the vive focus ......without 6dof the Go is just an optimized cardboard headset ......the Lenovo is what the next generation Go will look like when the snapdragon 835 is cheap and they add 2 cheap cameras
@biglevian
6 жыл бұрын
The Oculus Go can pretty much do what you can do with a normal phone and 20$ VR glasses. Just in higher quality. This gives you almost the full VR experience minus second controller and controller has less degrees of freedom. It's the first year for the all in one sets. If the are a least bit popular we will get cheaper and more optimized versions next year. Hopefully with ports to use it with a pc.
