And indeed it is. The ratio between battery capacity and screen size is just 59% above average - with the panel being the biggest power consumer. And the battery runtime is like I said in the video 109% above average. That's a HUGE discrepancy, so it can't be only due to the big battery ;)

@MobiwatchNET
7 жыл бұрын
Depends on what you find "not good" ;) If your expectations are not too high, 1080p is okay for VR. But you'll see each pixel due to the magnification. QHD panels are better, best are 4K displays as they have the highest pixel density; only on 4K panels there's something like a "nice view" where you don't see the pixels anymore (that clearly). You should see my videos concerning Daydream and the Daydream view (kzitem.info/news/bejne/0KWBsKOfrKCVg6w) as well as Samsung Galaxy Gear (the first one): kzitem.info/news/bejne/kamGvpmIi2l0mGk. Why does it have a physical home button and onscreen buttons? Is it like Oneplus phones a choice you can choose from?
@MobiwatchNET
7 жыл бұрын
Well, the "Home screen button" is primarily the fingerprint scanner - the "Home" feature is just an add ob you don't have to use if you want to. Concerning your second question: please wait for my final review of the P2, as always published as text with ALL info on my website mobiwatch.net. Actually, you can go to Settings/System buttons and enable "Navigation bar can be hidden" + enable "Turn on fingerptint device gestures" and then you can hide the onscreen buttons and you can use the fingerprint sensor as : light touch (not press) = back, long touch (not press) = multitask button, press = home screen

That's always part of the final review which appears as text on my website mobiwatch.net. But as the P2 will take time (first comes the Axon 7 Mini and Honor 6X), here's a little preview just for you: With the included charger (2A), after 15 mins = 27%, after 30 mins=54%, after 60 mins=85% and vor the full 100%=106 mins. That's compared to the capacity (5.000 mAh) 107% above the average, thant's rank #1. Means more than double as quick as usual. But be aware that quick charging ruins the battery 5x quicker as usual, please see my review of the Sony Xperia X for more details: go-mobi.net/1RXep7t

Didn't I tell in the video? It's a hybrid slot, so you have the choice to insert 1 Micro-SD OR 1 Nano-SIM in addition to the first Nano-SIM. The P2 support LTE, of course, but if also VoLTE ist possible, I can't tell as a) I'm still waiting for my questionnaire to come back from Lenovo and b) it depends on country and network operator. @MobiwatchNET
7 жыл бұрын
It depends on how you see the phone world ;) Right, most new models come up with 5.5", even in the mid class tier. But first: the current average is 5.2", and more important: there are still A LOT people out there that don't want 5.5" or more, as they prefer smaller sizes. Which I personally can understand, as I use my phone mostly with one hand only, thus making 5-5.2" the maximum. Everything above that makes one hand operation hard to do, plus I don't need more as I don't watch movies or photos on my phone very often - I'm having a desktop or notebook PC or at least tablet in front of me most of the day ;) Wanna say: Screen size is an extremely personal decision and it's good to have several models in all tiers to chose from. Which is why there's no such thing as "normal size". It's like as if you'd say "black is considered to be the normal color for cars now" ;)

It's use screen 2.5D?
@MobiwatchNET
7 жыл бұрын
No, it hasn't. Wouldn't make any sense with that frame once around, you can see in some of the close-ups. 2.5D glass only works if the glass runs right into the frame to make the surface feel like a pebble. The P2 is the straight opposite: flat and edgy.
@MadnessJoe
7 жыл бұрын
That´s not totally true. Lenovo is advertising this mobile phone with 2,5D glass and you can feel that the edges are not sharp at all. It has pretty smooth transition from screen(glass) to edge of metal frame. The only thing that can mess this up is when you use included plastic case - it has to be higher than the rounded edge of the phone to hold the phone firmly. So it creates a little bump from screen to edge of the plastic case.
@MobiwatchNET
7 жыл бұрын
Really? Well, I'm still waiting for my questionnaire, answering details like this. But from my own feeling and watching, I wouldn't call this 2.5D glass. I've seen/felt quite a lot of those (still have some beautiful Nokia phones with Windows in mind) and I do not have that impression very much on the P2. Plus, once more: have a look at the close-ups in my video - I really can't see much of a curved edge there. Instead, I feel the outer edge going once around the body. That's not a bad thing, lots of phones do the same, so don't get me wrong! That's I wouldn't dare to speak of 2.5D here, as this feels different for me. Or at least on a low level, not comparable e.g. with the ZTE Axon 7 (kzitem.info/news/bejne/tJ2I0auOm4CSfJg) where I don't even have to look if it's 2.5D as I feel it clearly.

Testing is not completed yet, but benchmarks and that's the hardest part. And the P2 got warm like all phones do during the tests, but not more than usual. The first version of the QSD 820 had overheating issues, but not the 625 which is in the P2.
@MobiwatchNET
7 жыл бұрын
All phones nowadays get warm when used long and/or intensely like when playing a game. So does the P2, but I never measure more than 41 degrees C on the back side during the benchmarks. I didn't try playing and charging at the same time and now the P2 is gone already, but I'd say it depends on the level of the battery. If almost empty, the charger of the P2 can output up to 24 watts, that's HUGE! But when, say, at 80%, the charger doesn't have to give it all and drop the charging current. Hope that helped?
