Thank you for making this video! I just canceled my orders just now because my RT100 with Jade Blossom switches and MOA keycaps sound more thocky than the Leobog Hi75. I'm just going to keep using the same board for now.

So much truth to your statement. I noticed that I have been watching one keyboard review after another, and I found that the sound tests are not enough for me to figure out which keyboard is the one that I prefer. I began to narrow down the most important values that I want out of a keyboard: comfort, all-day typing comfort, prevent carpel tunnel and inspire creativity. The RT100 so far has been one of the best typing experiences that I have had so far. The Wisteria switches are so easy to type on. The lighter that I type, the more soothing the sound signature. Maybe I will take a break from watching reviews, and just enjoy using the keyboard that I already enjoy!@@odinblog

IMO the HI75's weakness is also its strength: Non-enthusiasts see/hear examples of thocky/creamy keyboards and just want one without the hassle of having to deep-dive on knowledge to build a custom board.

Dude! Thanks for this honest review. I am actually considering this keyboard since I'd like to have a 75% profile keyb. But it does sound pretty much similar to my GMK67 (currently with a few mods and durock stabs). So I guest it isn't much of a difference then. I think I may go with a Infi75 which is a bit pricier but definitely an upgrade to my GMK67.

@@rinnoX1 2 layers tape mod and polyfill. Holee mod and lubed for the durock stabs. I'm using akko cream yellow v3 pro for the switches. Unless my ears fail me, I do think they sound pretty close. I actually ended up buying the Monsgeek M1W earlier over the Hi75.

thank you! I didn't teset the GMK67 but many review said that GMK67 is a keyboard which is not so good on the sound (the foam is so-so) but it has very great modding potential. Howver, I think Hi75 is the keyboard which is no further modding needs, and it has not any potential for further modding at all.

@@odinblog I see. I have a gmk67 right now and the sound is surprisingly very nice for being only $20 usd. I have two questions though which you may have answered by I don't remember. Did you try modding the keyboard and taking the foams out, and if you did was the final result good or bad? Also, what are some keyboards that are similar to the hi75? Are there any alternatives that you would recommend that are not too expensive? Thank you!

are there any other aluminium kits which produce low-pitched sound like the Hi75 but with better build quality? popular choices like zoom, qk, monsgeek with full foam are at best, between high and low pitch. i found, so far, that only abs case brings about true low, marbly sounds.

I've not test these keyboard except Hi75, so I'm afraid I can't provide an accurate opinion with them. However, I think the newer is better, the newer Hi75 should be the best one within these option --- but please aware that Hi75 DOESN'T HAVE WIRELESS CONNECTION which the other did have.

Could you explain a bit more about why the hi75 has bad build quality? I am new to keyboards so I am finding it tricky to understand. Thanks for the great video by the way!
@odinblog
3 ай бұрын
1. The latest batch of Hi75 has much better build quality right now; 2. the first batch of Hi75 has worse build quality because: 2.1 This ia a very cheap keyboard which it cannot afford much more cost and potential loss, 2.1 so they are using cheaper die-cast machining (compare to better but expensive CNC, cause rougher surface; 2.2 Worse quality control requirement. They prefer to ship some little defect keyboard that may alleviate the possible defect loss

Wait! In terms of build quality, it's visibly clear that Hi75 is bad. I mean the aluminum is of poor quality and the finish is bad too. The issue with installing and removing switches is also true, saw that in another video. But is it really a waste of money to consider buying this? I mean, this is the only under $100 offering 75% alu kit. There are others under $100 but those are 65% and I already own one fantasic 65% board. Please, do give me an answer cause I am really interested in this.
@odinblog

I don't think it is a waste of money for buying it..... but I do think that the typing sounds, and only the typing sounds, should be the ONLY element you need to consider with. To be honest, I think Hi75 is a really good keyboard if you care about the typing sounds, but it is absolutely not recommend if you want to buy a custom-class alu kit with a cheap price -- the build quality of HI75 is absolutely NOT BAD AT ALL in accordance with the price tag; but it is NOT GOOD ENOUGH to compare to the high-end alu like Matrix nor Foxlab. They are absolutely not the same class. However, its typing sound is good enough to compare with other high-end customs like Owlab or Qwertykeys.
