Brian was having a very special moment at the time (he says at the beginning of this video that he was pretty busy but he couldn't miss the chance of playing with Les Paul), this was late March '91 and Made In Heaven was recorded between January and June 1991 in Montreux. Queen members already knew that Freddie had AIDS so they were living in the studio and Freddie would call them when he was feeling well enough saying he would be there for a couple of hours to record some voices. Yet Brian May was kind enough to go to play with Les Paul. Freddie dies in November the same year.

Boiled lobsters! Omg, that's hilarious. I think his fingers were a bit more agile than that.

Les Paul was an immense player. Of course Brian is going to show humility and respect in this company. But Brian May is completely unique and Queen are the greatest band in history! Thoroughly enjoying this

I think if he'd have had his sound he's use to, he would have been much better. You could tell he was struggling with the amp & had to be nervous as hell ta boot.

Get Les Paul up on stage to jam along to Queen songs and he'd struggle - this just highlights the differing musical worlds Brian and Les Paul occupied.
