Mam I have one doubt...we have lived here for twenty years...but in present perfect tense we shouldn't mention time period...but in fourth usage you have given this example for present perfect tense....can u clarify my doubt

Yes, we should not mention the point of time the action happened in the past, when we use the present perfect tense. 'Twenty years' is a period of time and we can mention it.

We should not mention the specific time of a completed action when we use the present perfect tense. But we can mention the period of time of a continuous action (action still in progress) for the same tense. It's a good question! 👍☺

We lived here for twenty years. We have lived here for twenty years. Both are correct. They don't mean the same. We can use 'twenty years', a period of time, with the present perfect tense. It is a point of time in the past that I meant when I said so. We shouldn't say, " I have lived here in 2015".
