I never knew Keith Urban was such an incredible guitar player until I saw him playing w John Mayer. Much respect! Thank u, Keith.

Mr Urban thanks so much for your guitar lessons. I have been trying to learn watching KZitem videos for years but lately I finally found a few good online instructors and you are one of them because you have a great method. I especially enjoy playing along with your inclusion of a band. Ok take care always.

Keith you have a great, relaxed style of guitar instruction. It's very personal and it almost seems like you are in the same room as the viewer. Any beginner will easily learn the core fundamentals watching your videos. I wished that I had something like your videos when I started playing 50 years ago.

I can't believe all of the lessons and teachers that do not teach people to start off learning cords the way Keith shows in this lesson. All the time wasted getting muscle memory to make cord shapes a certain way and then Keith shows in the first few minutes of a lesson how these cords should be played and probably should be taught in the beginning to set you up perfectly to learn and play bar cords. This would open you up to being able to play so many more cords and songs earlier in your learning journey. Best teacher that I've seen.

And still, it needs time to build the muscle memory 😉.

I work in education and he is a really good teacher. Definitively once you are capable to explain things in a very simple way is because you master them. Now, as a guitar student, I'm so grateful I found this tutorial. 💛💙💜

Keith provides a great point in this instructional video that 99% of teachers don't do. The index finger, finger #1, becomes the most important appendage on your hand as you develop into the future. Right now, it probably does not compute in any way. But as you grow, you will see how the great blues players and rockers like Alvin Lee and Johnny Winter use it for speed and dexterity. It is going to change your world and this point he is making is important to "get there" faster.

this must be the most superb quality lessons, presentation, video production ever to appear on youtube. the big problem for me is the choice of songs. i know american rockers must love this old cliched cowboy stuff. personally, i haven't found one song in the thirty that i would feel cool playing at any gatherings here in the uk.

tried to load this video a couple of times. sound is out of sync with video. such a cool song, and the opening riff, not being taught, is a great challenge for any guitarist. i have a mate who plays this cover and doesn't get the riff right, and i feel that until you can get it, just skip it, don't scrap the song just because you can't get it, but don't attempt it till you can nail it.

Why can't I find an accurate version of this song? Every tutorial on KZitem plays it the same way, but none of them are playing it right. If you listen to the original you can tell immediately that those aren't the same notes. The intro starts much higher and the finger picking pattern switchers up between frets.
