Beautiful voicing of the chords, Dave. Thanks so much for this (and all your other lessons). They have improved and enriched my playing. (In many cases I wind up making chord charts based on your lessons). -- A fan from 1/2 way around the world.

Interesting in Amaj7. I play it straight out of the Fake Book in Bmaj7. You are a great guitar player. You have quite the selection of songs too. Thank you Dave. Gotta go. I'll be back (there's a great Beatles song for you). sw

Yes the record is a whole step up as I stated in the video. To play in record key on acoustic with no cutaway, just too high for me.

Dave , As always. You nail the exact chords , you really have an amazing talent for hearing songs and working out the proper chords Most people people post song tutorials with approximations which just drive people nuts - knowing that is just isn’t right. I know you love Stephen Bishop- I’ve spent years not quite figuring out his song Never Letting Go. Any chance you could take a look at this sometime. Keep up the great work

How do you play a Cbmaj9? It looks like a B minor7 youre playing.
@DavesGuitarChannel

Cbmaj9 is the same as a Bmaj9, except in the key of Gb you would call it as I did, a Cbmaj9.

weird. I 've always played this starting with Cmaj 7
@DavesGuitarChannel

I am failing to see what is weird with this. The song is in B, here I chose to show it a whole step lower so it sounds better on the acoustic and easier to sing. At the end of the song it Modulates to C but only on the ending. So you basically play it a 1/2 step higher than the record. Not weird or a big deal. You do however, play the maj7 and on the record I can hear the 9. Omitting the 9 is not a big deal just not what I am hearing him play on the record. Try a Cmaj9 instead of Cmaj7. Other than that, if you were playing this song before you saw this tutorial, thats good on you. All is good.
