I’d forgotten how great a song this is. Thanks for going through it with the different bridges and the modulation Manilow. Now I have to get my guitar out and rewatch it.

Another good lesson of a great song. I lived in Texas when Mickey Gilley's version was a big hit there. It became such a big hit that I thought it was his song.

Cindy Walker wrote it. He got credit by coming up with the title. So the story goes…

Nice. One chord I would question is the E7 on “say”. The melody note there is c# thus an E6 chord is more suitable. An E7 when you're singing c# but playing d (flat 7 of the E7 chord) is a bit clashy.

You Don't Know Me was written and composed by Cindy Walker. Eddy Arnold provided the title only. Of course he had a big hit with Ms Walker's amazing song. Thanks for pick up this tune.
Yes you have it because you love it. That makes the difference. Thanks.

Thanks so much for this. The song got stuck in my head a while ago. I'm not much of a guitar player but this is going to give me a real challenge to learn some new things. Be well.

This chord progression lesson helped open my eyes to define a chord sequence sound that I have always liked. Not sure if considered dom7 sub for min 2, secondary dom, etc... but the bridge section beginning with C#m where the Gm7 moves to F7 instead of Fm7 and then B7 is a great sound. This sound/chord sequence is also in your Mrs. Jones lesson where Bm7 moves to F#m7 and then to E7 rather than Em7 and then to G/A (A11 dom chord). Cool sound. Thx again.
