1. Separate the parties. De-escalation is key. Don't get your own feelings and biases involved. 2. Ask the trans person to leave the bathroom and only use the bathroom designated for that person's sex. 3. If the person refuses, let them finish using the restroom. *as long as it's not for an extended amount of time. 4. Once they exit, tell them you'd like to talk to them. Try to minister to them. 5. Inform them the church's policy. Which should be, male bathrooms are to only be utilized by males and not by those pretending to be male. Same thing for females. 6. If they refuse to listen, if they refuse to cooperate, if they refuse to be ministered to, then they should be trespassed from the property until they are willing to be ministered to and abide by the church's policy. These people are already confused and mentally ill to begin with and some just want to cause a disturbance. Creating a scene with multiple security/safety/ministry team personnel should be avoided. Two people tops should be the amount making contact with the person. You never want to tresspass a person from church, but if they refuse to abide by the safety rules and refuse to even listen then they should be trespassed, with the understanding of they want to be ministered to later during the designated time of tresspass they can contact the church to receive approval to return with the sole purpose of one-on-one ministering, not to attend church services. Once the minister believes the individual will abide by the rules then the tresspass can be canceled. This is great topic.
